RHNC

Sorry for the delay – I was watching the Real Housewives reunion of the reunion part II. Then I dusted my whole house 🙂

I didn’t get into bed until midnight last night, so I woke up later than usual. Getting 8 hours makes me groggy and stiff – I do better with 7-7:30.

Breakfast was muy delicioso though!

IMG_8293 (1024x768)

The Mix:

  • 1 cup Oikos
  • Handful raspberries
  • ~5 cherries, chopped
  • ~1/3 cup Zoe’s Granola
  • Tbsp flax
  • Tbsp Naturally Nutty White Chocolate Cherry Almond Butter  (YUM!)

IMG_8291 (1024x768)

I forgot to mention that at Costco I saw a huuuuge jar of MaraNatha raw almond butter for …..$6!!!!!! I actually had it in my cart and then reasoned I have lots of other nut butters I should use up first, so I put it back. But it’s on the radar!

IMG_8292 (1024x768)

IMG_8290 (1024x768)

With Tazo Earl Gray. I heart Tazo teas 😉

IMG_8294 (1024x768)

IMG_8289 (1024x768)

Would you believe that same SLUG was in my kitchen again last night!? He’s having a party under the sink right now.

I have TWO – only two!!! – things to do on my computer today and then I’m planning to take a little break from electronics and read. And I’ve got a major itch to clean the house top to bottom, so hoping to get that into the schedule too. I actually really like cleaning because it leaves me satisfied and organized 🙂

Friday Dance!!!

There’s a natural way to get rid of slugs – if you don’t mind the demise of these little critters. Slugs are attracted to the yeast in beer, so if you place a shallow container of fresh beer in your kitchen the slugs will crawl in and drown. It’s a probably a happy death :).

Cleaning is my stress release–I get stressed and either walk a million times a day, clean everything or brush my teeth. I don’t understand either, but my house is clean.

And $6 for the AB? That’s insane, as a small jar is over $7 over here! I would have stocked up on it, as it wouldn’t sit around my house for that long. (Or you could have probably sold a case of it for $6.50 each here on the blog and made a fortune. Kidding)

I’ve never tried it in my yogurt, so that might just be a wild and crazy thing I do this weekend…

    re. Slugs,
    I don’t want to kill them 🙁

    Teresa ,
I think there’s only one – the one off Tyvola.

Jenny Marie (Jenny Marie Says) ,
Greek yogurt is expensive 🙁 Oikos is my favorite texture, but Trader Joe’s is a bit less expensive per oz.

    Becca H,
Yes, it is a good deal, esp. if you make the effort to go weekly. What I love about it is there are constantly more brands that you see all the time in there (Kashi, MaraNatha, Chobani, Quaker, Sabra, La Croix) and it’s not all no-name stuff. You just gotta be sure it’s something you’d already buy or you’ll jack up the bill!

Take a big plastic cup and sort of hook him into it. Works with almost all bugs. Then if the bug really creeps me out, I just toss it outside and get the cup later.
