Red, Green + Flat As A…

IMG_8892-2Blog

Happy pancake!

IMG_8888-2Blog

It feels a little bit like Christmas outside, but I have my eye on the prize this Sunday: 86* bring it on!

So a little green + red to honor our near-freezing temps.

IMG_8893-2Blog

I opened a new box of Kodiak cakes this morning. The last time I ordered a 3-pack, I got 2 of the original and 1 buttermilk. Well I do declare that the buttermilk is by far my favorite!!! The only difference is dried buttermilk vs. milk. Everything else is the same. But the flavor is just incredible!!!

IMG_8883Blog

Two cakes (= 1/2 cup mix) with seared strawberries, bananas, PB, cookie butter, chia seeds, coconut and granola.

IMG_8890-2Blog

And served with a steaming cup of tea!

Those pancakes look so yummy! I need to pick up a box of Kodiak cakes. They make your pancakes always look like they turn out perfectly! So jealous of your 80 degrees! 🙂

Yup, as I said in the post, they are nearly identical. It’s just a flavor diff.

These temperature swings are really bizarre. I don’t know how to dress for 30 degrees in April– I feel so drab in my dark colors but it’s too cold for spring things!

You eat very interesting combinations. I would never have thought to add all that stuff to my pancakes or my oatmeal until I came upon your website! Everything looks so yummy, that now, plain ‘cakes with syrup is sooooooo boring! Yeah for KERF’s edible ideas!

I am so looking forward to the warm weather! This cold weather is for the birds 🙂

If I were to get Kodiak cakes, I would probably order the buttermilk ones, because I love anything with butter.

Isn’t funny how as soon as one reads your first sentence, one automatically thinks ‘pancake’ ! Ah! the power of suggestion! Great suggestion on breakfast! lol Christmassy colours for a very summery feast…oh so yummy! We got some sunny action here in Southern Ontario…let us hope that wintery wind we have been experiencing has blown the coup!
