Reading, Writing, Listening, Driving

We are home, long trip under our belts and several hours at the wheel for me. The I-81 trip is a bit longer and often has a batch of traffic (which we hit

Sad smile this !
) but the drive is more straightforward and seems to go just as fast.

I wrote a few BERF posts and did a little reading.

Matt and I shared handfuls of almonds on the ride, and I finished the last (most recent) episode of Pregtastic. No idea why there seems to be a hiatus!? Luckily I’ve moved on to New Moms, New Babies, the motherhood one, which I think will be nice to listen to in advance of becoming a mom. Sadly it seems that NMNB hasn’t made a new episode in a year. What will I do when I’ve listened to them all!?

Speaking of podcasts, here is the first ever Cville Food Bloggers Round Table podcast!!

Once we were home, we put together a quick dinner with surplus ingredients

IMG_9899

Red potatoes, boiled, drained and smashed, topped with greek yogurt, S+P, and cheese

IMG_9902

Yogurt

Triple yum!

IMG_9905

Leftover bean salad with goat cheese (I couldn’t finish this – too much cool cucumber!)

IMG_9901

And a pile of local strawberries!!

IMG_9900

Plus two episodes of the office and some unpacking.

We’re setting in for a quiet evening. TOMORROW IS OUR BIG ULTRASOUND! I am sooo excited. And nervous. And excited.

Love your vamped up leftovers. I do something similar by the end of the week when I find a bunch of bowls of this and that in the fridge 🙂

I need to be more creative when throwing together leftovers for dinner- yours always look so good (and so simple!). And local strawberries? Ohhh man. I haven’t seen any local ones around here yet. But I’m going to stock up as soon as I do (same goes for blueberries!).
Good luck with the appointment tomorrow (hope you can sleep well tonight!)

Sunny left Pregtastic (she was host AND producer) to have her baby. She started a new business, New Mommy Media, which will include podcasts and programming for parents. I love the Pregtastic podcasts and I am not even pregnant yet! Hopefully Pregtastic will find a host/producer and continue with their great programming.

Good luck! I found that ultrasound to be so cool. . . seeing the four-chambered heart, cerebrum, corpus callosum, three-vesseled cord, kidneys doin’ their thing. Hoping for a perfect result. 🙂

I am interested to see what the ultrasound shows. I know that your first one said you are having a boy, but I’ll be darned if your bump doesn’t look just like a GIRL BUMP! I could be wrong, but if I had to guess, I would say you are having a girl. We’ll see!
