Raise The Roof

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a roof!

IMG_0231Blog

And our stoop roof…gone.

IMG_0232Blog

IMG_0233Blog

It’s going to be high and gabled!

IMG_0229Blog

With a beadboard ceiling

IMG_0234Blog

It must have been hard work because with two hard workers, most of the candy is gone!

IMG_0230Blog

All this was happening while I was down at the bakery taking a bunch of photos for another ad we’re running

Great Harvest Thanksgiving - Low Res

Pumpkin Ohhhhh!! And that herby one is our brand spankin’ new Rosemary Garlic and it’s GOOD! I had tastes of everything after the session was over. Gotta taste the props!

Matt and I also went to visit Karen, who is feeling MUCH better but still there..she now has some fluid in her lungs that they are watching. It’s one thing after another with poor Karen!

IMG_0243Blog

By the time I got home, I still hadn’t cracked open my suitcase. So darling husband made dinner while I packed

IMG_0242Blog

No Bull burgers – mushroom flavor – on Honey Wheat buns with a side of kale. Super easy.

IMG_0237Blog

The kale was flavored with some herby olive oil and kosher salt.

IMG_0239Blog

Dinner was enjoyed with this Dogfish 90 minute Seamane and Rob gave us – SO GOOD!

IMG_0245Blog

And dessert was …more ginger cookies. Eileen, I can’t stop!

Want to know something that will make you mad? I’m listening to Christmas music!! Muahahahaha.

those burgers look fantastic! cheddar cheese is one of the only “worth it” cheeses to me (goat + feta also). more mild varieties get lost in the mix.

Oh poor Karen! Best wishes to her! Congrats on your roof-that is so exciting! I can’t wait to see the pictures of it when it is finished. And it always feels good when something big gets done and your decisions are narrowed down, although I’m not sure how many decisions you have to make when building a porch so maybe this isn’t 100% correct. My parents just renovated out house (for the past year) so I can certainly understand the feeling! My mom would be jealous of your porch though-that is the one thing we couldn’t fit into our house renovations. I loved No Bull burgers this summer but they didn’t have the mushroom ones when I was there-guess I have to come back and try them 😉
