Cold.

There are many titles I could have used for this post..

“Baby it’s cold outside”

“Frosty the Snowwoman”

“It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas”

but I didn’t want to freak any of you out!

Instead, we’ll sing about red and orange leaves!

IMG_0257Blog

Why was I so cold? Cause I was out running!! So proud of myself when I do that. Running first thing is never easy. Even when you get to eat dried mango and hunks of bread beforehand. It’s cold folks. I could see my breath with every puff. My gloves were just right. My fleece was zipped all the way up. And the heat has been on and off all night.

IMG_0254Blog

I’m a hurry – gotta leave before 9 to get to Hillsborough in time for lunch with mom! DOH it’s already after 9!!!!!

Quick no-cook, no-dish breakfast of 1 cup of Kefir, 1 big banana, Cville Cluster, some flax flakes I got from the Whole Foods sale, chia seeds, sunbutter …and leaves!

IMG_0252Blog

Vanilla tea warmed up my core

IMG_0253Blog

Have a wonderful day!!!!

I have those same leaf sprinkles! I don’t understand the purple ones so much.

And I ALSO thought to myself “I haven’t had a bowl of cold cereal in a long time. I should really have one” (but then we were out of Quaker Oatmeal Squares so that plan got foiled).

Your post today and my post yesterday morning were so similar it’s freaky freekeh 😉 – I talked about going for a morning run (I also feel so proud of myself when I do that!), how it was cold and then how I went in to eat a cold breakfast despite all that! Haha.

    Have a wonderful (WARM) day!

I set off on my morning run after my kids have left for school. The mornings are certainly getting cooler here in Southern, Ontario, Canada. I have had to unearth my warmer running gear to layer up. We have had a couple mornings with frost…all in all it has been one of the most beautiful and long lasting fall’s we have had. Although I must say, there is something so serene about running on a snow covered road in the just falling snow…but I can wait a bit longer for that!

Thanks for not making the post title about the snow 🙂 I am sure we are on a downward spiral with regard to the weather getting cold and snowy. However, since the snow is not here yet, it is better to think about just chilly fall weather.

I do like the snow, though. But after four or five months of snowy, cold weather each year, I have had enough, which is why I do not complain about the hot, humid days during the summer months. We do not get enough Vitamin D from the sun for much of the year where we live.

You’re a much braver being than I, Kath. I don’t care how warm or cold it is outside, there aint no way I’m getting my butt out there for a run before I’ve had my breakfast and morning cup of coffee. Then again, I don’t really run very often so I shouldn’t be talking. I did manage to do a load of laundry before I ate, though, so I consider that a success. Have fun with your mama. I dig your tablecloth, by the way. Is it homemade? Muy adorabs!
