Prepped, Packed, Cleaned

Just need to eat!

IMG_4633 (640x427)

I biked to yoga this morning. Love biking 🙂 It was a great warm-up, as usual. I have a mat strap so I was able to bike with my yoga mat on my back. The yoga class was just OK. I have been spoiled at Yoga One with the 94* and softer wood floor. The Y’s floor was so hard that even with my nice mat my knees hurt. And my mat kept slipping!? The class wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t that great. I felt stiff doing yoga – that shouldn’t be! The poses also seemed harder not being all limber from the heat and it didn’t flow as nicely as I would have liked. I will go back to this class again though.

Once home I set out to prep my meals for the rest of the day. Took me about 20 minutes:

Lunch

I have to go to Winthrop in about 20 minutes to prove that I don’t have tuberculosis growing on my arm from my TB test on Monday. In order to not miss class, I’m trying to go a bit early and get all the paperwork done so when 1:45 hits (48  hours) I can show them my arm and run. I’ve been late to Metabolism two times in a row and dont’ want to make that tree!

So I packed up lunch. Not sure when I will eat it. Probably in stages. Apple in the car, veggies during class?

IMG_4619 (640x427)

I’ve got some zucchini + green pepper

IMG_4621 (640x427)

And about 3 tbsp of Sabra for dipping

IMG_4624 (640x427)

Flax Oat Bran cubes

IMG_4620 (640x427)

And an apple

IMG_4623 (640x427)

IMG_4618 (640x427)

Afternoon Snacks

Can’t wait to dig into these! I’ll have one around 3:30 in-between classes and one either before MNT or on my ride home at 8:30 –

IMG_4631 (640x427)

Dinner

Lastly – a delicious Thanksgiving-style salad. Roasted squash and mushrooms on a bed of baby spinach topped with shredded roasted chicken and goat cheese. Plus some cinnamon.

IMG_4628 (640x427)

IMG_4629 (640x427)

If you move the chicken, you’ll find the veggies –

IMG_4630 (640x427)

I’m already excited about this as well!

IMG_4627 (640x427)

Dessert

Last but not least… a piece of Scharffen Berger Chocolate from BlogHerFood to get me through the last hour of MNT at 8 tonight 🙂

IMG_4632 (640x427)

I’ll be back tonight with a short recap post, but there you have 3 meals in 1 and a good example of me eating on the go

 this !

Great meals and tips on packing! I think I might start taking a pre picture during the week so I remind myself what I’m going to eat/pack throughout the day. It will prevent snacking too!

I had the Pumpkin Pie yogurt for a snack today. Sooo good!

I always use 2 yoga mats when I’m practicing on a hard surface. Just roll the second out on top of the first 🙂 They don’t slide around or anything.

I have those tupperwares – forget what they are called. I love the way they have the cute spinny storage thing though.

Hope you enjoy your busy day!

Where are you getting your pumpkin yogurt from, Costco? I’ve been looking everywhere for it and can’t find a Whole Foods in Chicago that carries it…. 🙁

I have to look out for that pumpkin pie yogurt, it sounds delish! I had to do the same thing today…pack up my lunch dinner and snacks…but it’s work-related, not school. I got a free cooler bag from AAA from getting an auto insurance quote from them, and even though I didn’t end up buying the insurance, I’ve gotten a ton of mileage (hehe) out of the bag 🙂

I love your examples of how to pack a healthy meal on the go. I used to love bringing meals with me when I needed them to help with my healthy lifestyle. Besides its so much cheaper than eating out.

After hot yoga I now know what you mean about being more limber. I felt like putty when I was in the heated room and now I have to be careful not to overstretch when I do regular yoga. Sorry you class wasn’t great.
