PMS

It’s impossible for me to have PMS, right?

Or maybe I just have a MONSTER case of it right now with all the hormones in my body : )

Or maybe I just sat in the heat too long today.

I’m just feeling kind of grouchy! Not in a grumpy way, but in that “I don’t want to do anything” way.

Lunch left me super full and then I sat outside in the 90 degree heat (and loved it!) but I think I got dehydrated. I chugged lots of water and then drank a smoothie while writing marketing emails for the bakery this afternoon.

IMG_9976

Contents included 1 cup of berries, 1 cup of milk and half a tiny banana, plus ice. It was the perfect chilly refresher! And it also spoiled my appetite for dinner!

Matt brought home some dough (he thought we were having pizza!) but he turned that dough into rolls in the oven!

IMG_9985

Topped with a No Bull Burger and the usual condiments

IMG_9986

Grilled corn on the cob was so delicious – summatime!

IMG_9987

[We nixed the green veg because we felt this was enough food and we’re low on EV-rything.]

IMG_9983

I’ve been getting about 80% of the way through my dinners and have to pass the rest on to Matt. I just get full faster than I used to. I used to always be able to find more room – especially for dessert! I would love to walk to get an ice cream cone tonight, but there is just no room or appetite after dinner. I’m sure by the time I get in bed around 10pm though I’ll be hungry again!

PMS = Please Make Space!

Awe Kath, I hope you feel better. “PMS” is no fun, even if it isn’t PMS. I hope your mood improves.

I feel the same way these days if I get dehydrated, that smoothie looks like it would do the trick for anything that ails you 🙂 We are loving grilled corn on the cob too…that’s awesome that Matt can bring home dough and make you pizza or rolls! Hope you’re feeling better!

It is totally possible to have PMS or rather pregnancy hormone overload! There is a girl in my yoga class who from around 23-30 weeks felt like as she described it a crazy lady/grouch almost like PMS. She is around 32 weeks now and says she is feeling back to more of her normal self now (or at least less hormonal)

I do not have the “Please Make Space!” feeling hardly ever since pregnant, because I always feel full 🙂

I wonder why some women experience not being able to eat much during pregnancy while others seem to be able to copious amounts of food? I was the same as you are, and I completely understand the frustration of it.

Dinner looks delishy! Love grilled corn, makes me wish it was already Indiana corn season!

Heat makes me grumpy, so I could see that mimicking PMS! ha Burgers make me happy, though. So it all evens out. 🙂

I bought some fresh corn at the farmer’s market today. It is great wrapped in 1/2 slice of bacon and sprinkled with cayenne pepper (or smoked paprika!)—–and grilled! Yummy!
    So easy and delicious!

Had to tell you – I stopped at Walgreen’s today and happened to find Biscoff cookies in the snack aisle! The actual cookies on sale 2 for $5. I had to have a package…so delish! The nutritional info wasn’t as bad as I expected – the first ingredient was wheat flour and I could pronounce all the rest – nothing artificial. Fun surprise to find at Walgreen’s of all places!

Unfortunately if you are anything like me the “no room” only gets worse. I am 37 weeks and have found if I eat just one bite too many than I am miserable. I also find that gives me heartburn and acid reflux…oh the joys. My husband and I call any of the unpleasant aspects of pregnancy the “joys”. It is funny how many times I use that term these days 🙂

My prior 3 pregnancies I really struggled with anger (all boys) – this pregnancy has been more gracious on my mood. I think your PMS symptoms is related to hormones. This pregnancy has been a little more gracious on me. Be gracious with yourself! 🙂
