Peanut Party

Recall the recent Pecan Party? This one was better!

Here were my packed snacks for the early evening:

Did I eat:

  • A) Zbar
  • B) LaraBar
  • C) Strawberries
  • D) All of the above
  • E) None of the above

IMG_2211 (1024x768)

The answer>: C! I got a little hungry after my test around 6pm and ate my strawberries, but my lunch kept me full all afternoon and I just started to get hungry at 8:30 when I got home. Must have been that extra sushi piece!

I came home to a package – full of peanut butter!!!! Recall that I won these two PB jars from Sheila’s contest on Live Well 360*.

IMG_2212 (1024x768)

Of course I immediately opened a jar to try it! Mmmmmmmm!!! This stuff is fantastic!! It’s very sweet and slightly gritty. Love it! Here’s a link for all the info: Naturally More. Would I buy this stuff for the egg whites and flax, extra fiber and protein? No. It’s great, but so is regular peanut butter. But for the taste? Yes! I would like to try their almond butter too! Thank you Sheila!!!

For dinner I heated up some more Nutty Vanilla Sweet Potato + Kale Soup. Just as good as it was the other day! I have one more small portion that I am already excited about finishing. Topped with a few salted peanuts –

And I carried the Naturally More into dinner on a slice of GH High Five Fiber bread

The husband Matt was still awake when I got home (wired from a nap!) and we chatted while I ate and then watched an Office!

Night guys

I got to try the Naturally More PB when I was home over winter break. I really liked the texture. I also really like the signature at the bottom of your posts – it’s a nice touch.

I love Naturally More! They used to have it at a local grocery/health store by me called Henry’s Marketplace, but they took it off the shelves for some reason. I couldn’t find it anywhere else! Oh how I would loooooove a jar…maybe I’ll shell out the money and buy it online…hmm.

BTW, that soup looks so delicious. I might venture to recreate it sometime soon!

A piece of the Great Harvest High 5 fiber toast with the Naturally More PB is something Sheila and I have for a snack all the time. We are also fans of the 9 grain from Great Harvest as well.

Where did you find the Clif z-Bar Spooky Smores? Is that a limited Halloween bar? I love Clif Z-bars and have never seen that flavor!

Yum on the peanut butter. I will have to seek out that brand this weekend.

Naturally More is actually made near my hometown in AL, so I have had a taste many times. I’m with you though–I’d rather just have regular ol’ PB.

I have tried 10 different peanut butters, and that Naturally More is BY FAR my favorite. I also love PB&Co.’s smooth and crunchy options for their nuttiness, but Naturally More is the best overall. YUMMMM!!! You made me hungry.

Oh, and don’t forget to refrigerate the PB after you open it. The flax and stuff needs to be refrigerated.

I just took the plunge into “natural” butters and found this brand at my local grocery store (Pick n’ Save). I decided to try the almond butter after reading about it on your blog – it’s pretty good! I don’t have anything to compare it to, but it is good in my opinion.

Thanks for all your great food ideas!
