Panini Punch

IMG_6048 (600x400)

I’m having a wonderful sleepy, rainy Sunday with Sabrina!!

IMG_6042 (400x600)

After checking out of my hotel, I wasn’t really sure what to do with myself and my giant suitcase. But luckily Sabrina was nice enough to let us chill out at her place. It’s nice to relax a little after such a whirlwind of a weekend.

We spent an hour chatting on her couch before we walked to lunch at this fabulous little sandwich cafe called Rybread!

IMG_6041 (600x400)

It was the PERFECT lunch spot! Salads, sandwiches, good drinks + desserts and funky colors.

IMG_6040 (600x400)

IMG_6043 (400x600)

I had a house salad with blue cheese, walnuts, cranberries and apples

IMG_6044 (600x400) IMG_6047 (600x400)

And I got the most delicious portabella and eggplant panini with pesto and mozzarella

IMG_6049 (600x400)

Incredibleness!

IMG_6054 (600x400)

Sabrina’s grilled cheese!

IMG_6055 (600x400)

Minty tea to sip

IMG_6039 (400x600)

And when we returned home, a cup of fruit for dessert

IMG_6057 (600x400)

My flight tonight doesn’t leave until 9:30, so I’ve got more chilling to do before I head back to Virginia.

See ya friends!

Do you derive inspiration for the sandwiches you offer at Great Harvest from your taste experiences at other places? Slash how do you decide what goes on your menu? I’ve noticed that the sandwiches you talk about serving are different than the ones offered at MY local Great Harvest (I’ve been eying that curry tuna sandwich foreva).

Have you tried Udi’s millet-chia bread? It has about 5g fiber & 5g protein for two slices and has seeds and some chew to it. My favorite GF bread by far. . . my whole foods just started carrying it last month.

Thanks for the recommendation, I have only had the white Udi’s, never the millet-chia kind but it sounds really great. I’ve grown to live without bread for the most part because of taste/price but will definitely be keeping my eye out for this.

    Awesome HLS recap posts, Kath!
I have a question! Did Meghann really plan the WHOLE thing or did you all help too? It seems like she took a lot of the credit, but I wasn’t sure if it was a joint process?
Also, this might be too personal, but is there commission for you all for having the event? I’ve always been curious about that!
    Looks like a fun time!

Meghann planned it all and is the only one getting compensated for her time. The rest of us got free tickets and travel as tribute to our foundership. We decided it was easier for one person to plan it, and most of us were too busy to want to take on planning another year.
