Out Of Juice

Very pleased with US Air today – our planes were brand spankin’ new and had WiFi the whole way! That sure helps to make the trip go faster, and reduces workload upon landing.

  1. We used all the battery in my netbook.
  2. Then all the battery in Larbs‘ Macbook.
  3. Then all the battery in my cell phone.

I also notice they now have 15 minute "check your email" plans for smartphones for $1.95. Love it when technology gets even more convenient.

When we arrived in Charlotte, it was snack time on the West Coast and dinner time on the East Coast.

We settled on frozen yogurts. Strawberry and White Chocolate Macadamia swirl. Topped with a little Hungry Bar crumbles.

Yogurt

It was not very good – the strawberry tasted like chemicals.

By the time our puddle jump to Raleigh was over and we were home, I felt pretty wiped out. Despite the fact that this time last night the event was just beginning, it feels like midnight here – I’m ready for bed! So frozen yogurt became dinner 🙂

Maynard and I are snuggling in the guest room. G’night!

Maynard

Glad you made it home safe and that you enjoyed your time out here on the west coast. 🙂 Sleep well, you deserve it!

(Bad frozen yogurt is just wrong.)

I was just looking at my flight info for my trip later this month. I’m already dreading the early morning flights. How was the new Nicholas Sparks book as flight reading?

I’d be lying if I said I’ve never had frozen yogurt for dinner…In fact, it’s probably happened more than I should admit. 😉

    And Maynard is quite adorable!!

I am so sorry about the crummy TCBY experience. Unfortunately the flavor you chose is chock full of chemicals, I’m not sure why it was not listed as sugar-free/non-fat, because it is. I run my own TCBY in Canada and personally do not go near the White Chocolate Macadamia nut, it makes me so sick 🙁 It’s sugar-free/non-fat, loaded with not only aspartame which accounts for its chemical/medicinal taste, but also phenylalanine, which comes with a warning that can cause the laxative effect on the ingredients. I’m sorry you did not enjoy it and that the flavors were not advertised as being sweetened with chemical additives. Hope your next visit (if there ever is one) is better.

that makes me sad, I used to love TCBY when I was little but they’ve all but disappeared up here. It doesn’t help that travel sucks the life out of you (me!), either. Yay for sleep!

I hate when froyo tastes like chemicals! My fave is dolewhip which you can get at Disney, Hawaii, and now LA! Tastes like pineapples whipped into heaven.

Those 1.95 plans? Genius!! Have never heard of those but have wanted something like that many times in the past…good to know they exist.

Glad you had the USAir hookup today. Love it when airline travel runs smoothly 🙂

After eating real food its so easy to pick up on the ‘fake’ food. haha. so to speak. When I do eat fast food, its easy for me to taste the loaded sugar in a hamburger bun. Just isn’t my fancy. Cook at home anyday!

Loving having fro yo for a meal – such a treat. Shame the one you had tasted artificial. My fave fro yo has to be pinkberry – all the flavors are just soo good!

I hate when food tastes like chemicals! I can’t eat non-fat flavoured yogurts without cringing now because all I can taste is the fake sweeteners. 😛

I agree with you on TCBY. I’m not a huge fan of their frozen yogurt. I think the only flavor that tastes good is peanut butter. The rest do taste like chemicals.

I haven’t had TCBY in years. Disappointing that it tasted like chemicals (and probably was loaded with them).

Travel is exhausting. I don’t blame you for eating fro-yo for dinner and going to bed! 🙂

I mean this in the nicest way possible 🙂 – but I think you could use a break from technology!! 🙂 It is so refreshing to step away from computers, internet, phones and be yourself and do things…in real life you know. It’s so important to not be “attached” to something because you never know when it could be taken away from you.

In general, whether the attachment is the internet, work, food, tv shows, etc. everyone could benefit down “de-taching” and simplifying their lives.
