Operation Foliage

Today is the peak of fall. A warm day with about 20% of the leaves on the ground and the other 80% sporting reds, yellows, golds, and oranges.

IMG_8817

Matt and I decided to take a walk and capture some of the beauty for evermore.

Harder than it looks

Go, triceps, go!!

IMG_8766

There was lots of Halloween prep spotted

And even a zombie!

IMG_8821

The snack that fueled me: Alliebar!

IMG_8743

I was hungry all day today – had a few pieces of dried fruit and nuts to tide me over as well.

[And then the sun set : (]

For dinner we ventured over to Faith + Tate’s!!

IMG_8842

Per usual, the menu was simply gourmet!

IMG_8843

Those fancy salts came out again!

IMG_8828

And Faith made Better Basil Butter (go ask her what that means – it was complicated!)

IMG_8839

We started the evening with a wee bit of Pinot

IMG_8825

And dinner was served – Roasted Tofu, Baked Rosemary Sweet Potatoes, Roasted Broc + Cauli and Crusty Olive Bread.

IMG_8831

Her tofu marinade was outstanding! I think nutritional yeast was involved!?

IMG_8845

Midway through dinner a second bottle of wine was opened. "This is how we do ittttt"

This bottle was compliments of Sarah + Josh for the party this weekend and it was FAB!

IMG_8852

Desserts

IMG_8855

World Market Sea Salt Chocolate. OMG, this made me realize how much I’ve been missing dark chocolate in my life!!

IMG_8856

And a sliced pink lady…have also been missing those!

IMG_8857

Thanks to friends for the fun!!

[PS. Can you believe we went from local friends of Kate + Nate to Tate + Faith!? It’s crazy! I say them all wrong all the time!]

Nite!

Lovely food, company and fall colors 🙂 I miss all those biking tracks whilst visiting my sister and bro in law in the Netherlands. I love it that you can bike in such beautiful weather. The weather in Orlando still grosses me out. Its freaking on the higher 80s while we are closing into Nov!!!!!!!

I LOVE Halloween decorations… our neighborhood has really gone all out! And I am quite envious of the beautiful color changing leaves! Here in Austin, TX we see a lot of green leaves go straight to brown. 🙂
