On The Move

I have been on the move all day – so glad to finally relax a little 🙂

The farmer’s market was SO worth the trip. $17 worth of local, organic produce (although not certified organic – just grown organically). The grower of the lettuce has been supplying to the farmer’s market for 16 years! Found the red peppers for $1 each and can’t wait to have more okra!

Once home, I was on the move again –

IMG_1146 (480x640) IMG_1147 (480x640) IMG_1148 (480x640) IMG_1145 (640x480) IMG_1144 (480x640)

And ran into this guy, who biked from the other direction!

IMG_1150 (480x640)

Moooooving day for Michelle + Ben!!

Kate the spider

Check out the triceps on this team!

IMG_1163 (640x480)

IMG_1159 (480x640)

Matt found some of Michelle‘s pajamas in the dresser! It was quite a hoot

IMG_1165 (480x640)

Cooper wanted to come out and play

IMG_1152 (640x480) IMG_1171 (640x480)

The day was not complete without a roach spotting

IMG_1162 (480x640)

Or a bit of thirst quenching!

IMG_1169 (480x640)

IMG_1167 (480x640)

Whew!! It only took about an hour and a half to unload that whole truck! TEAMWORK!!!

IMG_1168 (640x480)

Everything was put in its place

IMG_1176 (480x640)

And then we ate!!! Ben’s parents cooked burgers for the group and beer was had by all.

Onions smell

IMG_1179 (480x640)

I had originally assumed I’d eat a veggie burger, but I decided that I was craving beef and could use a dose of iron 🙂 I had a small-ish burger on one of Matt’s jalapeno-cheddar buns with tomato, lettuce, ketchup and mustard. I ate about 80% of it and then just switched to bun 🙂

IMG_1183 (640x480)

Plus delicious thirst-quenching fruit

IMG_1184 (640x480)

And a few veg

IMG_1185 (640x480)

Michelle and I split a Shock Top. I got to keep the bottle!

IMG_1187 (480x640)

IMG_1186 (480x640)

IMG_1182 (640x480)

After another smaller unload, we biked back home – we’re only about a 10 minute ride away!

Dinner tonight is leftovers and our plans are up in the air. A movie might be on the agenda, if we have the energy!

***

Two Housekeeping Things:

1) Are all the funny characters gone? I think I fixed the setting that was causing them!

2) Those of you who were reporting a very slow page load, is that now fixed too?

***

See y’all ta-night!

I’m not seeing any funny characters…and the page is loading at normal speed again (it was really only slow once or twice for me though).

What kind of bike does Matt have? Looks like a scooter/bike hybrid!

Farmer’s market goodness!! Can’t beat that.

Cooper’s a doll!! Looks a LITTLE bit like Chooey 😀

Those burgers would be better with some KERF buns, haha.

    Hi Kath!

Don’t you just LOVE how much fresh produce you can get on the cheap at the farmers market? Can’t beat that!

I just started my very own blog today after a LONG time of reading yours and some others. I hope that you will stop by my blog every once in awhile and follow my adventures!

Also, would you mind if I added you to my blogroll once I get it set up? I have some work to do, (gulp 🙂 ), but soon it will be up!

I think for food bloggers, farmers markets are what Rodeo Drive is to starlets. It’s kind of funny, now that I have a blog I go “ooh that will taste delicious” but also “ooh, that’ll make such a cute picture!”
