Lunch Of Yesteryear

The drive from Cville to Hillsborough is so much nicer than the drive to Baltimore! All through the beautiful countryside without a lick of traffic. The ride went by so fast!

IMG_8477 (400x600)

Lillis Billis greeted us on the porch!

IMG_8476 (600x400) IMG_8473 (600x400)

We sat down to lunch with mom and dad.

IMG_8453 (600x400)

We brought the bread + dessert and they had sandwich materials and fruit salad plus a platter of radishes, black olives and pickles

IMG_8450 (600x400) IMG_8452 (600x400)

I made an open-faced sandwich with tomato, avocado and jack cheese

IMG_8455 (600x400) IMG_8456 (600x400) IMG_8458 (600x400)

Dad knew we were coming so he stocked up on pumpkin beers!!!!

IMG_8459 (400x600)

IMG_8460 (400x600)

Remember when I said we brought dessert? PUMPKIN OH!!

IMG_8461 (400x600)

Oh-so-good!

I’m not sure which looks scarier-the first picture of the cat of the skull on the beer bottle.

Mmmmm pumpkin roll! One of my favorite desserts growing up was plain old pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting. Mom would make them each Fall and it’s probably one of the reasons that Fall is my favorite season. Anything pumpkin is good!
