Lunch At The Farm

Does this photo look like the weather is hot or cold?

IMG_4530Blog

How about this one?

IMG_4529Blog

This one?

IMG_4531Blog

Sure looks like 20* at times, but it’s HOT outside! Or, rather, not cold! A glorious 61* and warm enough for some outdoor dining with my girl Faith!

IMG_4532Blog

We walked to lunch together at a new shop called The Farm, opened by our family friend Bill Davies. It’s a gourmet grocery and café all in one.

IMG_4533Blog

Small but cozy and warm inside, we browsed through and selected brie + apple baguettes for lunch

IMG_4534Blog

IMG_4535Blog

This was so good!! Brie, apple, arugula, and honey on Albemarle Baking Baguette

IMG_4539Blog

I had more apple on the side along with some kettle chips and a lemonade

IMG_4538BlogIMG_4540BlogIMG_4536Blog

Faith and I agreed the visit felt like we were on vacation!

IMG_4537Blog

My workout this morning was a bit wimpy, but that was to be expected. I’ve got a few hours of work to do this afternoon. But I’m hoping to squeeze in one more walk – just because this weather will not stick!

Looks delicious! Is it really only 2.50 and 3.50 for sandwiches!?

I think they were both $3.50, but yes. They were pretty tiny though!

oops looked like a 2 in the first one, but I think maybe that’s the shelf blocking it. Even for a small sandwich, good price! You can’t even get some movie theater popcorn for that anymore. I’m jealous of all the cute lil places you always go to.

Glad you’re getting a “heat wave” in the middle of January. When living in cold weather climates, it’s those random out of the blue bursts of warmer weather than somehow can help you see the light at the end of the long, winter, tunnel. Good deal for you!

60 degrees sounds cold to me! It was 57 here in St. Petersburg this morning and they are saying it may not get warmer than the low 60’s. That is 10 degrees below normal here. Everyone is wearing big jackets and scarves, we are so not used to cold weather!
