lovemugs.

Sorry for the delay – we were out RUNNING! 5 miles before breakfast – wahoo!

Banana fuel bites before we left:

IMG_3362 (640x427)

We covered a big loop downtown and back – it was a pretty good run! I’d just suggest for future reference NOT to eat squash skin the night before running

this !
My stomach was so bloated!

Look at these two lovemugs –

The Super Mix

  • 1/3 cup homemade Scottish oats
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 whole banana (leftovers from pre-workout!)
  • Chia seeds
  • Pinch Salt
  • Pear Fig Jam
  • Naturally Nutty Cinnamon Vanilla Sunflower Butter (I’ve been hoarding this for ages – it’s baaaaaack!)
  • Galaxy Granola Raspberry from my samples

The oats were SO creamy today and the bananas SO fluffy!!

IMG_3372 (640x427) (2)

Cool coffee.

Happy 28th KERFday

I’m turning 28 on October 26! And I’m inviting you all to Charlottesville the weekend of October 23 to run the Charlottesville Fall Classic 10K race with me (or cheer from the sidelines!) and celebrate my birthday. Meghann is coming! Emily is coming! Ashley and Bo are coming! Allie and Diana (I think!) and maybe Sarah! I may have heard flutter from Brittany down in Richmond. And I know there were more who mentioned a maybe. So you ALL should come and have a HLS reunion!! Ashley + Bo chose a hotel, and Matt is working on his pumpkin ale recipe.

EMAIL ME if you’re interested!

I don’t run but I may be able to talk my husband into a mini-vacation to Charlottesville since we’ve never been. Is the run part of the “celebration” and therefore required? We’d be excellent cheerers! I’m sure my husband, who is a hobbyist brewer himself, would love to try Matt’s pumpkin ale. 🙂

I always prepare my breakfast the night before so that I can just take it to work with me. When I tried to microwave the scottish oats they didn’t turn out to well. I guess they’re gonna become a weekend meal when I have time to cook them on the stove. Now I just need the weekend 🙂

Charlottesville has an airport, but it’s kind of small and hard to fly out of.

Richmond is about 50 miles away.

DC’s Reagan Airport is 2 hours, but there’s a direct Amtrak to Charlottesville.

Fact: I turned 28 in May, and every single time someone asks how old I am, I say 27.

No, it isn’t a joke, like, “hahaha..I’ll never be 28!”

It’s that I keep forgetting how old I am.

Watch out for 28. I think it’s where adulthood senility starts to kick in….
