lost.

Dun dun dunnnnnnn:

IMG_5036Blog

The journey has begun!! Hilary brought over the first two seasons and we are now four episodes in. Faith and Tate joined us as well – none of us had ever seen an episode! (Except for Hilary, of course). I knew I would love LOST when I first started hearing about it years ago, and I already love it. But it’s so SCARY!! I didn’t know it was such a thriller! I also can’t believe that we have like 1,000 hour-long episodes to watch. This is gonna be fun!

IMG_5035Blog

To go with the “movie,” I made Caitlin’s Mexican Lasagna, except I made it more in tostada form than lasagna form. This recipe was awesome, however, and with 4 ingredients and 15 minutes of cooking, I can’t wait to make it again.

IMG_5034Blog

Ohhhhhhhhhhh yeaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh cheese!!!

IMG_5044Blog

Faith made a beautiful salad to go alongside

IMG_5038Blog

IMG_5040Blog

I love refried beans!

IMG_5041Blog

And guac and sour cream.

IMG_5039Blog

For dessert, we played “Pass The Cookie Bag” and nearly polished off my Mason Jar batch! Even frozen, those cookies were so soft and chewy. I’m going to have to buy another jar!

Watch out for wild boars tonight…

I watched the first 2 episodes a few years ago (we could borrow them for free at Duke). I had to stop because a) I had schoolwork and b) I was scuuuured! My brother owns the whole series, so I need to borrow them from him.

Glad you enjoyed the cookies enough to buy another jar…that’s high praise b/c normally when I am done with something, it’s on to the next. Usually don’t re-purchase unless it’s super special and floored me.

Those pizzas with the guac and sour cream…yum!

I watched the first couple seasons of Lost and then just…got busy. I need to finish the series – I absolutely loved it! On another note, that salad looks gorgeous! I think my body is needing some veggies because whoa – I’m drooling over lettuce! When does that ever happen?!

I used to love Lost when it originally aired but then I had something every week when it aired. And with that show–you miss one episode and you are confused for a year. It’s all on Netflix instant, though, so I’m really tempted to start up again.

We watched the first 3 seasons of Lost the summer between the 4th and 5th seasons. We were so addicted that we asked for a Blu-Ray player and a special router to stream videos for Christmas that year so that we could get the 4th season as soon as it came out! It is definitely better to watch it in chunks. Someday I will own the whole series and watch it again…

I guess that it’s good you are getting into it now, because you have all the episodes readily available.

When I used to follow the show, we had to wait for the next season to find out about cliffhangers and it just drove us nuts. I want to re-watch it all over again.

Dinner looks great! My husband and I also loved Lost. We watched the first three seasons just before season 4 started. We’d have Lost marathons and finally drag ourselves into bed around 2 in the morning. It is such a great show. My husband actually proposed to me while we were watching one episode. Yeah, it was that much a part of our lives.

In lieu of LOST on DVD: I highly recommend using Netflix streaming for $7.99 a month. We got set up last month and guess what? All six season of LOST online. I started again from beginning last Tuesday!

Hope all is well in C-ville. Maybe the two of us (plus baby Peyton) will make a trip out to see your store?
