Like Daughter, Like Mother

LOOK at what Rudi got the Bears into last night!! We are very disappointed in him. A teenager is supposed to set the example!

IMG_2455edited

Thankfully the Bears have had enough exposure to their father’s beers to know to stay away until they are of age. I think the fumes must have got to them though. They were quite loopy this AM.

I sipped on coffee while I waited for the rest to rise. My parents slept for 10 hours; Matt and I slept for 9! Guess our stomachs demanded more rest.

IMG_2454edited

Mom wanted “KERF Oatmeal.” I delivered!! I made a pot for 3 (including Matt) of oat bran oat mix with banana – the usual – and topped them with pumpkin muffin crumble, pumpkin butter and drippy TJ’s sunflower butter (extra on mom’s!)

[My bowls are from a boutique in Charlotte; Placemat’s from Southern Season in Chapel Hill]

We’ve got a bit of a dreary day. But Larbs and Matt are on the way down from Maryland to spend it with us!

We’re taking M+D out on a tour of Cville via automobile this morning, then coming back for a leftovers lunch, then hopefully fitting in our annual Thanksgiving Weekend Hike this afternoon. Out to dinner tonight! Fun times.

I’m not sure if I can fit any oatmeal in my belly this morning! Such a great tradition to go on a Thanksgiving weekend hike – great to get some movement in on a weekend focused on food!!

Sounds like a great day planned! I’m envious of the amount of sleep you had – I went to a Thanksgiving dinner with co-workers last night and didn’t get home till midnight, then was up for a 5am personal training session… bahh lots of coffee to come this morning!! Have a great day Kath! 🙂

What boutique are the bowls from? I live in Charlotte and would love to find them! I’m a sucker for anything with coral on it. Your breakfasts sound (and look!) amazing by the way 🙂

I didn’t wake up until 8 this morning — late for me! — and am still lazing around. We have a THIRD Thanksgiving meal today, though, so I need to get going (and find a loose-fitting dress haha).
