Yep. I’ve been making my own English muffins for about 2 months now! They are amazing, and super simple. I use a modified version of the “Soaked Engish Muffin” recipe, from Taste is Trump, and Faith (Gracefulfitness). 🙂

You make oats on the stove, correct? I’ve been making them in the microwave and I definitely don’t want to heat them up in a plastic container. I figured I could just make them in a different bowl and then pour them into the jar.

Farmers Market sounds fun! And I’ve yet to perfect OIAJ – maybe because I scrape every single last bit of nut butter before I decide it’s time.

Kath, this is SUCH an amateur question, but I gotta ask it!
When you make OIAJ is it okay not to eat all of the nut butter from it and use it for another oats creation or do you usually scoop the jar clean the one time you use it? I’ve alllways wondered this cause sometimes I just don’t feel like eating all the nut butter from it, but I figure it’ such a waste to toss it out..
thanks! I bet you’re having an aweeesome time at body pump right now 😉

I only make OIAJ when there is about a tbsp (give or take) left in the jar. I lick it clean like a doggie and then recycle or wash and reuse the jar. I wouldn’t put oats in there – dip your spoon and germs in – and then when you get to the nut butter put the jar back on the shelf. That seems like it might grow some bacteria.

      Seana,
I could provide some tips, but since I’m not gluten or dairy free, you might consider reading some bloggers who are – they would have much better visuals and recipes. Ashley @ Edible Perspective just did a big elimination diet with good examples, and I know there are other bloggers who are gluten free + vegan
