Hot + Toasty Walnuts

Yessssss! I finally slept through the night!! No crickets, no barking dogs, no restlessness.

[What am I, 6 months old!?]

Couldn’t wait to come down for this!

IMG_2824 (640x427)

The Mix:

  • 1/3 cup oats, milk, soy milk, half banana, pinch salt
  • ~1 tbsp raisins
  • ~1/2 tbsp chia seeds
  • Splash vanilla
  • ~2 tbsp Nature’s Path Granola
  • ~2 tbsp walnuts, which I toasted in the microwave for 1 minute on high and they were fab
  • Spoonful TJ’s PB

IMG_2825 (640x427)

+ Half Spring Blend decaf and Half Mara‘s Peruvian Caf. OH HOW I MISSED SPRING BLEND!!!

IMG_2829 (640x427)

IMG_2831 (640x427)

We stayed up and watched Autumn Hearts last night. It was a beautiful film, but I thought the plot was just meh.

Hoping this digests soon because I am going to a 90-minute hot yoga class with Amanda this morning!

Adios!

I haven’t been sleeping the best either the past few nights because of a flying creature we had last weekend, which I am now haunted by 🙁

But I am so glad you got in a good night’s sleep! Your breakfast looks spectacular. Have fun at yoga!

Haha, glad you slept well. I did not with all the frat rushing around my dorm, but sleeping through the night is usually no problem for me so I guess I can’t complain.
What nature’s path granola do you use? I’m supposed to be getting a bunch of products to sample including some unreleased ones and I can’t wait to see how they are,

Walnuts remind me of fall, too. That bowl looks so comforting and yummy.

I love a full night’s sleep. My problem is waking up prematurely; my body thinks its done after 6 hours. I try to tell it that’s not true, but it does the same thing almost every night. 🙄 Maybe 6 hours is my sweet spot lol.

I get some great ideas from you! I read you grew up in Hillsborough.. I actually am a teacher at a small charter school there.. live in Carrboro but love working in such a cute little town.

Ps.. I have finally started my own little blog.. its certainly a work in progress but with some time I hope I can inspire some peeps just like you!

Have you ever tried using a sleep machine? I can’t sleep without mine! It makes white noise and drowns out the sounds. I actually just found an iPhone app called ‘sleep machine’ last night. Try it out, better than the uncomfortable ear plugs!!
