Hot Buns

Hot cross [Apple Crunch] buns!!

IMG_2497 (640x427)

Think we just sold out of those. Also, a customer bought 32 hamburger buns first thing this morning. Wonderful for her and us, but not so good for all the other people looking for buns this morning. We shouldda known the 4th would need more buns!

IMG_2498 (427x640)

My employees know me so well. Allie brings me crumbs. Alex brings me giant balls of cookie dough!! I took one big bite of this – groaned in pleasure – and then passed it back. SO GOOD. SO decadent!

IMG_2499 (640x427)

Lunch came at 1:30 with a big salad (loving the garden greens we’ve had in the fridge all week) and half a curried tuna salad sandwich.

IMG_2507 (640x427)

Jenny knows me well: “I styled this sandwich for you since I knew it would be on the internet”

Smile this !

IMG_2505 (640x427)

I added some apricots to my salad and just a drizzle of honey as dressing.

IMG_2506 (640x427)

IMG_2501 (640x427)

3 hours to go till it’s the happy weekend. Although I might take off and run some errands first. We need all the summer fixins: sunscreen, a natural bug repellant, shampoo!

I need to work in a place where people are handing me apple crunch buns and cookie dough.

Although, that could be REALLY dangerous ; )

I took my hubby to our local GH for breakfast this morning. He got an eggwich w/ turkey on rye & a raspberry/blackberry scone. He said it was the best eggwich he’d ever had, and he bought a loaf of cinnamon chip for the road. He’s a convert!

Oh that is AWESOME! I would love my own personal food stylist! Funny story is that my 4 year old knows that she can’t eat anything until photo sessions are over and the camera gets put down.

Don’t touch it, don’t move, don’t bite into it til pic taking is over. I may be able to talk her into being my food stylist in a few years 🙂

She actually loves looking at the pics on my computer afterward. A blogger in training 🙂

Happy 4th Kath, and congrats on all those buns…sold!

I have found that spraying a little bit of the all-purpose cleaning solution of the Shaklee Basic-H2 on the furniture or towel or blanket where I am sitting helps to deter bugs! It’s organic; something about it bugs don’t like. Works great!

I love John Frieda Blonde line and my hair loves Pantene and Herbal Essences, but I’m on the hunt for something more natural. I tried Whole Foods Natural and HATED it. It was too liquidy, didn’t lather and left my hair unclean. This time I’m trying an expensive Alba that smells awesome!

As much as I love strong herbal scents for cleaning and in the kitchen, I don’t love them a ton for beauty. It seemed to be SO strong when I sniffed it! Maybe it’s different on teh body?

Of course. : ) You know, Shaklee does have a wonderful 100% guarantee. So, if you possibly didn’t like the scent, it could be returned, no questions asked. When you shampoo with it, the scent is refreshing AND, of course, the scent doesn’t stay on your hair.

I love their guarantee and great customer service. Hey, we’re here at the lake house for the holiday weekend with some friends and family. We’ll be in C’ville this evening for dinner somewhere. Maybe we will see you around! We’ll probably visit the downtown area to walk around, either before or after dinner. Trying to stay cool! Wish we could make a bakery run today, but “lake activities”; i.e. golf, kayaking, swimming, fishing are occupying the day today! We LOVED our GH “supplies” that we picked up two weeks ago there!

Yes, they still have some water bottles that are similar to the one I gave you. One is white like yours that is 24 oz. stainless steel with a single wall, threaded top, flip up straw and carrying loop. If she goes to your Get Clean link and types in 58512 in the Search box, it will be there. There are a couple more styles, too, 58515 and 58505.

Yes, Shaklee still has water bottles to choose from. If you click on Kath’s Get Clean link, then type in these item codes in the Search box, you will see the choices. 58512, 58515, 58505. One is very similar to the one I gave to Kath that is pictured in her blog entry. Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions.
