Home @ Homewood

I am proclaiming this hotel the best. ever. Beating out some of the fancy hotels I have stayed in during my travels! If you look out that window there is a fire pit turned on and a bunch of nice gas grills!

IMG_8439Blog

Our huge suite was less than $100 for the night and there are so many perks included! The quality for the value is what makes it so awesome.

Matt and I slept like ROCKS in our king size bed and slept in 2 hours later than we have all week till 7:30!

IMG_8431Blog

We had plans to make stovetop oats in our room until we got down to the breakfast area to find a caldron of hot oats already made and waiting for us!

IMG_8435Blog

Topped with cinnamon and raisins plus Grape Nuts!! And a strawberry jam. And almond butter we brought downstairs. I have forgotten how good oatmeal is! Even if made sticky plain style for the masses ; )

IMG_8434Blog

Matt felt it needed some salt and sprinkled it on our bowls. Salt and oats are a great combo – a la salted caramel!

IMG_8425Blog

We also shared an orange for lack of fruit otherwise. We have super ripe bananas in our room that probably should have been used, but we were too lazy to go back up and retrieve them!

IMG_8433Blog IMG_8436Blog

Plus 2 cups of coffee in these awesome green Fiestaware mugs!

IMG_8432Blog

This guy scared me to death this morning! Montana charm.

IMG_8423Blog

After a short stint of digestion, we headed down to the fitness room for a nice leisurely workout. We had our own personal top of the line gym!!

We spent an hour going back and forth on the equipment, watching House Hunters, reading BHG and ending with some weights.

I seem to have strained my wrist lifting our luggage the other day and when I picked up a 20 lb weight it HURT. Not sure what that’s going to do with my weight lifting schedule. Maybe switching to machines for a while when I get home will let it rest.

We are showering in our luxury master bath and then headed out for lunch and a grocery stop before driving in the rainy slush back to Dillon. Then it’s laundry time!! I am so ready for some 100% clean clothes!

Just so you know, Homewood Suites is a Hilton property, and qualifies for Hilton’s loyalty program Hilton Honors. It’s free, and you can earn points for free stays, plus additional frequent flier miles for your preferred air carrier. I travel a bunch for work, and it’s one of the better loyalty programs.

Take care of that wrist…wrist injuries are the worst…they just pop up out of no where and sometimes you have no idea what you actually did!

It’s always so gratifying when one gets good value for money at a hotel. Way to go! Reading about Homewood Suites made me smile, as it reminded me of Up In the Air (the book, not the movie), which made fun of Bingham’s obsession with this hotel chain.
