HLT

Rain rain, please do your thing and then go away quickly. I miss the sun!!

IMG_0342 (450x600)

I can’t believe how lucky we’ve been with such a sunny summer. I’ve only had to drive to the bakery/gym a handful of times since we opened – and that’s a sign of how few rainy days we’ve had! So I’m not really complaining about the rain today, but I sure wish there were some round yellow suns in the forecast!

I went to Body Pump at 12:10 today – 2 hours later than normal. It’s an express class so they skipped biceps and triceps and cut 10 minutes of time. I feel that my bis and tris got quite a good workout regardless – thanks to about 26 pushups! I still got a good workout – my shoulders are aching already!

Drove down to the bakery – meet Ellen + Melanie, two new employees!! Today is Ellen’s first day and Melanie went to Davidson with us (although she’s my sister’s year). I need to get a photo of Morgan too – she’s our third newbie this month.

IMG_0344 (600x450)

They’re working on a batch of ‘noler. [And to all you Opensky hopefuls, it should be arriving at your houses today or tomorrow]

IMG_0343 (450x600)

By the time Pump was over and I had showered at the gym and drove the bakery, it was 1:30 and I was starving for lunch!

IMG_0338 (600x450)

I brought a spinach salad from home with veggies and bleu cheese with a honey/olive oil dressing.

IMG_0339 (600x450)

Plus a HLT – hummus, lettuce, tomato. Kept it simple!

IMG_0341 (600x450)

IMG_0337 (600x450)

Time to get to bizness.

Honey + blue cheese = a match made in heaven! What a great flavor pairing salad 😀

I woke up to the rain here in Boston… It was actually super comforting and it made me want to stay in bed! I have been having to go to the gym to use the stationary bike because of my bum left leg haha so the rain hasn’t affected me too much. It was a super sunny summer to be grateful for! 😀

Good news about the granola orders through OpenSky! Though my order status doesn’t even say that it has shipped yet… was definitely getting concerned.

The weather can’t seem to make up it’s mind here today… raining, sunny, raining sideways, sunny… I was actually hoping for a grey, rainy day! I’m only getting half of one.

HLT + avocado and sprouts = the bizness. But then, I would happily add avocado and sprouts to any sandwich to ratchet up the ‘yum’ factor!

I’d easily change weather forecasts with you– oh, to be able to walk to class without sweating! And be able to drink a hot beverage! Heaven 🙂

For the past two days, it has looked like it was going to rain, but did not. It is pretty dreary here, and a bit on the chilly side outside. I need more sunshine before fall/winter comes in full swing–we need all the vitamin d from the sun that we can get before the cold front comes in to play!

We’ve have had the most unusual summer here in the Pac NW! May, June, and July were absolutely horrible-cold, rainy, and overcast. August was fantastic (it usually is) and September is shaping up to be pretty good too. It’s supposed to be in the 80s all week-which is hot for us! I love it…I hope we have an Indian Summer. Some people are talking about changing the school months so we go through the end of June and start school in September, cause it’s not worth being outside in June!

Hopefully the granola’s will be arriving this week. I called Open Sky last week since it had
been a while and was told it would ship today. However, it still does not show that it has
shipped. The person I spoke with upgraded my shipping so maybe I will get it by the end
    of the week.

We too, have had lots of rain in NW North Carolina. The river in front of my house is moving
    on pretty fast.
