He’s Here!!!

Yay, the sun kept his promise 8D

So far, so good this morning. Great night’s sleep and a great tasting breakfast:

DSC04927

  • 1/3 cup oats, 2% milk, water
  • Salt + vanilla
  • Half medium banana
  • 1 tbsp wheatberries
  • 2 tbsp cottage cheese
  • Pumpkin pie spice
  • 3 tbsp Maple Pecan Granola (SO buttery and delicious!!!!)
  • Drizzle of pumpkin butter (LOVE it!)
  • Drizzle of almond butter

I put the butters ON the oats rather than on my spoon and liked it! You don’t get them in every bite, but it made it fun to eat to decide when it was time for a juicy bite. You know I’m all about the eating process!

We’re planning to gym-it-up around 10 (I’m looking forward to the bike ride there – we have a new route that is much more pleasant to ride upon).

Around noon we’re lightraining-it-up to Pewter Rose to meet a blog reader visiting from NYC for lunch!!

I’m spending the afternoon studying while the husband is working until 10pm and am planning a girls’ night out with my friend Kelsey.

Cheers!

Kath, a question, have you ever tried steel cuts oat? How is it? is it very different than rolled oats?

    coco ,
I’ve made them before and you’re in luck – I’m going to make some this weekend!! If you search for them in the yellow search box at the top right I’m sure you can find times when I’ve had them. I like them find, but prefer rolled oats for their thick creaminess.
