Help I’m Stuck!

From Body Pump to the bakery, I found myself stuck here helping unload our first ingredient order and hungry as a hippo for lunch!

IMG_1168 (640x480)

I’d already done some organization

IMG_1166 (640x480)IMG_1167 (640x480)

The question was: do I bike home for lunch only to come right back, or do I just find something to eat here!?

A shower could wait

Winking smile this !

IMG_1176 (640x480)

The obvious solution was to get one of my favorite bean + tofu salads from Cville Coffee next door. The only bad part was using a Styrofoam container : (  If you love beans, you’ll love this salad!!

IMG_1170 (640x480)

I got hungry Matt a sandwich as well

IMG_1173 (640x480)

And because they’re awesome – two honey bunches for dessert!

IMG_1171 (640x480)

Another bakery picnic for two!

IMG_1169 (640x480)

I’ve got a few more things to wrap up here and then I’m heading home to have a relaxing Friday night. Tomorrow we have 2 events planned, so it will be back to busyness.

That salad looks delicious — good choice staying at work to get more done. Showers are overrated anyway 🙂

I always prefer to push through and get things done – even if it means a shower has to wait.

That salad looks delicious – I love lots of beans in my salad.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Hi There! I had to reply to your comment because just yesterday I had this conversation with my husband – he threw some styrofoam from a package we had delivered into our recycle bin and I said “Hun, that’s, like, an oxymoron, you can’t do that.” I had no idea that it actually can be recycled?! Will have to research this!! Thanks!

Do you bike with a backpack? You could just carry a lunch with you as well in case of emergencies/change of plans. Definitely would save time! I’d want that salad too though 🙂 Does Matt always stay at the bakery the whole day though usually?

If you’re concerned about the styrofoam, couldn’t you keep a similar sized container or some dishes in your office and have Cville Coffee load that up instead (I realize there might be some H&S regulations that prevent that). Or do they serve their food on dishes if you eat in? Maybe being neighbours you could take their dishes and return them when you’re done?

How is Matt feeling? Is he nervous to be in charge of baking everything for the big open? I know he used to work at GH so he knows what he is doing, but it’s one thing to work there and another to be fully in charge and work there. When is the official open? I am pulling for you guys!

He’s feeling good! He doesn’t have to bake everything – we have hired a dozen employees for that. And we have at least 4 Great Harvest team members coming from corporate to help us with the opening, so that’s great too. Hoping for June 3!
