Headline: Snow Fell!

IMG_4438Blog

First dusting of the year!! So exciting. The whole world seems more peaceful when snowflakes fall.

I suppose you could say lunch was peaceful as well –

IMG_4437Blog

Grapefruit rules the winter!

IMG_4434Blog

And the Raspberry Chambord Jam on my toast is out of this world! It’s part of a quartet coming to OpenSky including Blueberry Lavender Merlot, Grapefruit & Campar Marmalade and Champagne & Rosemary. They are all outstanding!

Greenery!

Just came back from a short hike in the show – so pretty!

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’m jealous! I’m not a winter person at all, but a dusting or two is always nice…we’re at 55 degrees right now in Alabama!

I live in the midwest and we haven’t seen a flake of snow yet this winter. I’m sure it’s coming though. Can’t imagine NE Kansas going a whole winter without.

As I was reading through and looking at your lunch, I thought “where’s the green?” Sure enough, there it was.
The school district that I teach in has at least a delay (if not a closing) if it snows the slightest bit… I’m just waiting…

Holy mother of jam! I can’t wait to buy some of those delicious tasting jams from OpenSky when they come out, especially that blueberry one. Smuckers ain’t got nothing on those babies. And that snow is so pretty. I love how quiet things seem when it starts falling. I wish we would get more snow here than all this darn rain that we’ve been experiencing. I love wearing big puffy jackets and hats instead of ponchos and galoshes. Oh well.. at least it makes everything really green come Spring-time.
    Have a great Monday!

I’m not sure what that grayish/white structure is to the right of your property (the top left of your photo) but in pictures it looks like it could be a snowy-covered pond or lake. That’s what I’m going to pretend it is from now on 🙂

It snowed last Tuesday here!! It was a pretty hard snow that lasted maybe an hour and actually made the roads super slick for a short period of time. It started around 9 or 9:30 in the morning…If you weren’t outside, you must have totally missed it! 🙂 We went into GH that afternoon and Matt had missed it too! Haha!
