Hangin’ Out With Dairy

I’m home!!! AND I DON’T HAVE CLASS TOMORROW!!! I don’t know how long this on-again, off-again rush of joy will keep up, but I am so used to class everyday (along with an hour commute) that I keep forgetting that I have a day to breathe tomorrow. Today was very long but my last class, Clinical, was awesome and will be the perfect way to end a long day. Lots of energy in the professor and the students, and the topic is very interesting. We’ll be learning all about digestion disorders IMG_0442 (800x600)this semester.

Surprisingly my lunch held me over well into the dinner hour. I didn’t get hungry for my snacks until 6:30. The Banana LaraBar was great. I’d rank it up along with Cashew Cookie.

I got home on time around 8:15 and got to catch up with the birthday boy, who thanks you all for your wishes!

And I forgot about dinner! My snacks really spoiled my dinner appetite. But while I wasn’t that hungry, I could tell I was kind of empty inside, so I made a small dinner. I consider which food groups I should have – I got in my grains at breakfast, tons of veggies and protein at lunch, fruits at snack so I figured I should spend some time with dairy.

Don’t worry – I didn’t eat 32 oz of Fage! I just scraped out the container with a tsp of pumpkin butter –

And had a mini pepperjack grilled cheese on GH High Five Fiber mini loaf bread.

IMG_0451 (800x600)

And tea, per usual.

Just finishing up my tea and I’m headed to bed. I didn’t get anything done today because I was in class, exercising, eating or blogging during my awake hours, so tomorrow I have a lot to do. I’ll be setting the alarm to wake me up early!

I feel the same way today – grains with breakfast, veggies at lunch (too many!! i’m still full), fruit for a snack, and now I’m in the mood for yogurt. Have a good night!

I don’t know if it was intentional, but the yogurt container and spoon look crazy long in that shot!

And I love scraping down a yogurt container, weird as that may be.

I just tried the cashew cookie larabar today. It’s funny how everyone’s preferences are different. I like Key Lime Pie and PB cookie the best.

So, what’s everyone’s favorite flavor of larabar? I’ve been eying them on the shelves but don’t want to shell out 1.50 for a bad one!

Hello (: Been reading your blog for a while, your day looks great!

It seems like Larabar and Fage Yoghurt are featured in alot of people’s food blogs.

Apparently they do sell larabars in Singapore, but quite hard to find them. Not in the usual local hypermarts.

and for Fage, I haven’t seen them here yet too. wish I could try it, seems like there’s alot of positive reviews about it (:

The Larabar sounds tasty, but that grilled cheese! Yum! I will have to try that out with my Flax Oat Bran later this week. 🙂

We will definitely cover that. Let me know if you have any specific questions so I can be sure to ask them.

    Heather McD,
    Fresh Market!!

    annie ,
Actually my Costco doesn’t have them – which is why I was thrilled when I found it at Fresh Market. I hope my Costco gets on the yogurt wagon soon!
