Gone With The Wind

weather

70*!?!? Are you kidding me?! It’s gorgeous and windy out there. And I ran right along with it – for 7.059 miles!!!!! I believe that is my personal distance record. And the cool thing is all 7 miles were a piece of cake. I didn’t really get tired, I just ended up back at home an hour later. I really could’ve run more. Although I will say my achilles tendons are a bit sore and I could tell my joints were ready to call it a day. But the rest of me was just enjoying the ride. I didn’t take any music today because my iPod was dead so it was just me, my breath and the wind. (I just typed wine instead of wind!)

Lunch was 100% orange.

A salad with mixed greens, green + red pepper, carrot, pom seeds, and Karen’s hummus, all drizzled in some lemon juice and EVOO.

Plus a small microwaved sweet potato with some butter and maple –

Dakota toast with a thin layer of pumpkin butter + Barney Butter –

Al fresco, with my big orange cup and an orange placemat and plate (and you wouldn’t believe it, but I am wearing an orange shirt too, which may have sparked the mood). I also had some pumpkin yogurt but decided I had enough to eat here and would save that for another meal.

I dug into the goodies on top of the fridge after lunch. These went down WAY too fast.

I’m in Canada (just above Montana) and its -35 here… I’m sitting in my office with a sweater AND jacket liner…

My jaw dropped when I saw the green grass!! The only thing that I can see that’s green is… well… nothing?!??! Maybe my face with envy of your warm weather?

Kath, I am seriously SO jealous of your weather right now. As I’m typing, I’m looking out at our Michigan blizzard. My office closed early, the MALL is closed, cops are suggesting everyone stay inside; and you’re enjoying a beautiful, 70 degree day!

On the upside, I’m sure now that I’ll be having a white Christmas *amy smiles happily*
