Goin’ On A Bear Hike

I did it again!! I woke up at 6:30 and made myself go back to sleep. I thought maybe 20 minutes had passed and realized it was 8:35 when I woke up again!!! Guess I needed the rest.

Stumbled down to make muffin oats

 this !

The Amazing Mix

  • 1/3 cup Great Harvest Cinnamon Raisin mix
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • Half banana
  • Half tbsp chia seeds
  • Vanilla, salt
  • Crumbled whole grain Blueberry Oat Bran muffin from Great Harvest
  • The last 3 blackberries
  • TJ’s Valencia PB

Earl Grey

Ironically because we never use it, our air conditioning appears to be broken. Matt cut a wire while cleaning brush and despite repairs it’s not working.

AND WE HAVE OUR INSPECTION TOMORROW! This is not good at all.

We’re supposed to be leaving town on a mother’s day hike at 1PM. Crap.

See y’all after our bear hike!

Cut wire are really easy to fix, don’t worry! (Don’t look at me like that, the boyfriend is an electrician, not I!)

    Have a good hike!

I wouldnt’ worry too much about the AC. If anything, I think they’ll just make you sign something agreeing to have it fixed before you close… that’s what we did with needed repairs when we bought out house (and some things like the broken dishwasher weren’t caught, so we didn’t find out about them until we moved in, which meant we were SOL).

I seem to have the opposite problem. I can’t get to sleep late at night, but can then sleep till the cows come home. Argh. I need to get in the habit of going to bed earlier. Hope you have a great time on your hike!

Love the look of a crumbled muffin in oatmeal. I just never seem to have any muffins around. (You’re lucky to have a constant load of bakery goods.)

Have a fun time hiking – I wish I was hiking today. But misty and rainy, so it wouldn’t be the best weather for it.

Yay, AC is fixed! Just in time, too, right? 😉 I love muffins crumbled over oats! A lot of baked goods are good over oats. I don’t know about cookies, though… I guess it’d add a crunchy element to them? And macarons?! (I’m obsessed with macarons – the fancypants french variety.)

Good for you! Enjoy your hike. Bears? Don’t run into any bears. I was hiking in Glacier NP with little granddaughter one time. She was 4 and we were stragglers behind the rest. She and I held hands and sang John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt really loud, over and over, so the bears wouldn’t get us.

Enjoy your hike— I’m jealous. The closest I’ll get to a hike today is climbing to the top deck of Dodger Stadium here in Los Angeles. Which, when I think about it, is just about the greatest hike ever.

    Enjoy!

Hey Kath, I just found your blog about a month ago and I absolutely love it! I was reading through some of your older posts and noticed that you have a grandmother who lives in Lakewood, NJ. How funny, because that’s where I grew up and where I work now! Oh and also, I’m going to be in Charlotte in October and thought it was another interesting coincidence that you live there. Was thinking of hitting up Rock Bottom. Any good?

Hi Tina! My grandmother from Lakewood actually passed away in May 🙁 But I’ve been going there my whole life.

I’d recommend The Liberty or Brixx Pizza over Rockbottom myself…
