Gaga For Goggles

My morning did indeed involved goggles – I went for a swim!!

But it did not involve really good bread. I actually came home afterwards, as the power cord for our computer had still not arrived. So I now have a spontaneous afternoon off!

Swimming was fun. I only did 30 minutes. That’s just about all I can handle. Well, I could have done 45 pretty easily, but the only way I’ll get in the pool is if I know I’m back out soon! Swimming comes so easy to me – I barely felt tired when I got out! The hardest part is not getting water in my ears. Maybe I should swim faster..

I biked home and was THRILLED to have lunch here on my porch!!

IMG_4672-2Blog

The best part about weekly sliders? The leftover sliders for lunch! Tomato, K+M, Honey Whole Wheat – guess I did have really good bread after all!

IMG_4668-2Blog

Salad on the side – including goat feta!

IMG_4665-2Blog

And cherries. Love the cherries.

Unlike my Tuesdays off, this afternoon I’m putting myself to work! Since the bakery opened, I’ve done an excellent job balancing everyday blogging and work there. But all side projects, special posts and recipes that take longer than 20 minutes have fallen by the wayside. Hoping to remedy that soon!

Anytime you write “K+M” all I can read it as is “Kath + Matt” and I get the image of the blue pained “K” and “M” letters in my mind.

Hopefully you did NOT have Kath + Matt on your slider 😉

You must have super stamina to not be tired after a swim. It doesn’t matter how in shape I am, I am always exhausted after a great swim workout. Lunch looks delicious like usual 🙂 Hope you’re able to get a lot accomplished today!

I think you’ve done an amazing job at balancing everything out. I’ve been a long time reader and finally just started my blog about a month ago (yay!), and I’m realizing it’s a lot of work and I only post once a day! It actually got me thinking about how you run a business and blog 3x a day…major kudos to you. And no matter what your posts are about, I’ll never get tired of reading about your food, life, and the beautiful pictures you take! 🙂

P.S. your lunch definitely redeemed itself in having really good bread today 😉

Swimming is a pain because it seems to be so involved with getting ready and then if you are concerned about smelling like chlorine the whole showering to get back to work etc. It would not be something I would do during a work day for sure!!!

To keep water out of your ears – wear ear plugs. They don’t cut out all sound, but your ears stay dry. It’s the only way I’ll swim. I hate water in my ears.

Hello there. Congrats on the bakery. It always looks delicious. I think I’m even going to take a trip to Columbia to pick up some bread. When I go your grandmother has requested almond bread?? I did not see that on the menu, could it be called something different? Also had fish tacos for the first time last night based on a post from your last summer vacation. They were awesome especailly with our homemade guac with greek yogurt.. soo creamy. Hope your enjoyed your afternoon and go your cord.
