From The Neck Down

IMG_1253 (640x427)

Rub a dub dub – what a cute puppy our baker John brought in! Her name is Poppy and she has the softest fur ever. Even I loved petting her and I’m not a dog person! I usually pet animals on the top of the head only.

IMG_1252 (640x427)

IMG_1251 (640x427)

I went to Body Pump express today, so we did all but biceps and triceps. My upper body is sure hurting now! I took a quick shower at the gym and headed down to the bakery. Since I decided to shower and get gussied up when I got up this morning, I didn’t want to have to re-do my hair and make-up, so I just took a shower from the neck down. I wrapped my head in a hand towel. It worked quite nicely and I was done and dressed in 5 minutes!!

I biked down to the bakery where Matt and I sat down for a romantic lunch!

IMG_1254 (427x640)

I had 2 dates before the gym, but by 1:30 lunchtime I was famished!

IMG_1257 (640x427)

I had half a tuna sandwich on Dakota with some Route 11 potato chips (local and delicious!) and a pikal

IMG_1258 (640x427)

A nectarine from home..

IMG_1259 (640x427)

A piece of [whole grain] Scotchie cookie for dessert!

IMG_1261 (640x427)

Honest Tea… I’m telling you I was hungry!

IMG_1264 (640x427)

Matt ate this MASSIVE Cheddar Garlic + Tofu sandwich. The size of a paperback romance novel!

IMG_1265 (427x640)

Delicious!!

IMG_1255 (640x427)

And to top it all off. Allie busted into the office with 3 brownies that we weren’t able to sell due to being a day old. She MADE me eat some!! I like the choco chips on top of our brownies the best

Smile this !

It’s dangerous that our sweets are made with real food and whole wheat flour…it makes me think of them as superfoods! But they are very calorie-dense (and there is also lots of sugar) so that could be dangerous in the long run!

Time to get my cash register troubleshooting on!

I think our Great Harvest owners (Kirkwood, MO) need some inspiration from your vegetarian sandwich options. I peeked at their menu, and their one veggie option is just not exciting 🙁 Both your tofu and hummus sandwiches sound great!

We have a Bernese Mountain Dog, and I believe that dog looks like either an Australian Shepherd, Border Collie or English Shepherd – his snout is thinner and he’s not as, errr, round as a Berner pup. 🙂

I just about died when I saw the pictures of Poppy. SUCH an adorable puppy! I’m trying to convince my family to get a new dog, and now I want whatever breed of dog Poppy is!

I love puppies and dogs! Most puppies are so adorable when they are puppies!

Are you going to sell the Danielle chips at your’s and Matt’s Great Harvest Bread, Co.? I am sure they would be a hit!

You could crumble and freeze the day old brownies for future oatmeal toppings! 😉

Wow, that is quite the sandwich Matt had for lunch. It looks delish!

I picked up a loaf of dakota at the farmers market today and sampled apple crunch as well as cheddar bacon jalapeno bread. Oh me oh my was it good! They did not skimp on any ingredient.

Glad you are finding a routine! 🙂

I’d rather have a little bit of a REAL food than tons of fake food.. moderation! (Which you obviously already know 😉 )

It’s funny that you added that about your baked goods at the end of your post. Because before I read that, I was thinking, how does she eat all that bread/baking and stay so skinny?

When I go to BP Express I like to thow some biceps and triceps in if they do squats during the lunge track (no need to double up on squats) – especially in tank top season. I heart BP too!
