Four Wheels and a Sandwich

(iPhone post take two. Grrrrr.)

On the road again! Our ferry ride, luggage drop and loading was extremely frigid and blustery. This weather must be what all of you Northerners write me about! Thankfully NC only has two months of winter and a really long fall and spring 🙂

We packed sandwiches for the road again. I love eating a sandwich in a car. Especily if it’s one made by Matt, who is a fine sandwich maker indeed.

My sandwich had Laughing Cow, turkey, cucumber, jalapenos, and mustard on pumpernickel.

We also had a carrot and apple each for the nutrients.

It was nice to drink water that didn’t smell like marsh for a change too 🙂

For dessert Matt had me dig out a Reeses Santa from the Christmas presents. I bit off his ear

 this !

I’ve been lucky not to have to drive yet on this trip. I hate driving!! We’re getting close to home, so I might make it all the way!

Excited for clean laundry, unpacking and soup for dinner!

P.S. – I love driving until I have to do it for a few hours. I’m the first one to volunteer to ride shotgun on any road trip, ha.

We eat sandwiches in the car most anytime we travel. So much more convenient, and you know you’re going to like what you get. 🙂 I love to drive, and in fact am the designated driver on any trip of 3 hours or less, after that we swap off.

Your vacation sounded – and looked – lovely. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Hi Kath! I’m a huge fan of your site and I don’t think I’ve ever commented before (I’m an rss feed lurker). Recently I’ve found that my body isn’t reacting well to most carbohydrates and I’ve been finding it increasingly difficult to maintain my weight. I can’t seem to find it on your site but I seem to remember you featuring a blogger who’d lost a bit of weight and was then able to maintain her weight by limiting her carbs (in a healthful way). I think that she’d recently gotten married? Was I dreaming or do you happen to know who i’m talking about? I’d love to find her blog again.
Btw–am amazed you update on your iPhone. You definitely have some mad skills. ?

      Keily,
I’m sorry but I really have no clue who you might be referring to!? Perhaps it was on another blog site? Or a really long time ago?

And everytime it gets cold here I am reminded that I would not make a very good Northerner. Too cold!!
