Fork Over Some Sleep

IMG_2027Blog

Matt’s been feeling a bit stressed at work, so Alex and I convinced him to take a morning off. The crew is well-trained and doing an awesome job, so there is no reason Matt needs to be there at 7 everyday. He slept in and I brought him oatmeal in bed!!

But who wants to eat in bed when you can eat on the couch and watch The Office! So that’s where we headed. [Such a great episode too!]

IMG_2018Blog

I made his favorite mix (no pumpkin allowed!): Whipped Banana Cottage Cheese with lots of peanut butter

Candy Cane tea with frothed milk

I’ll be working on our Christmas week menu and gift guide design over the next few days, and Matt and I are hoping to get our Christmas tree this weekend! New house, new spot for a tree!

No pumpkin? The horror! Can’t wait to browse the Christmas week menu. I looked at your Thanksgiving one a couple weeks ago and dreamt of being in front of the bread board sneaking bites 🙂

Whenever I have time, I always eat breakfast in front of the TV. I’ve never eaten breakfast in bed before- my mom never let us take food in our rooms when we were kids, and I still can’t bring myself to do it!

I am with Matt…whipped banana w/ cottage cheese is my favorite. I had it this morning myself with a few butterscotch chips, chia seeds and homemade honey sesame almond nut butter. Yummy warm way to start the day. I am not sure how I can ever thank you Kath for the tip of bananas and cottage cheese in oatmeal. LOVE IT!!!! Have a great weekend!

Mmm, I love your whipped banana oatmeal. And anything instantly tastes better with gobs of peanut butter on it, if I do say so myself. Especially of the Chia Charger variety that I finally got my greedy little paws on. Xmas came early this year for this little peanut butter fiend.. woohoo!
I hope Matt enjoyed his morning off from work. He can chalk it up to a mental health day.
