Foodie Foods

GOSH it is humid in my house! Summer is baaaaaack. I’m looking forward to cool San Francisco by noon tomorrow!!

Class was let out a bit early tonight. Woo hoo!

Snacks!

At 5:00 –

At 6:00 –

Kelsey made me dinner!!!

IMG_3315 (640x427)

Homemade vegetable soup!

IMG_3319 (640x427)

Ingredients included – cabbage, corn, peas, okra, potatoes, green beans, carrots, tomatoes, broth and more. It’s been soooo long since I’ve had a vegetable soup! So wonderful that it didn’t have tin can taste because it was fresh! [Oh, and ONIONS were in it but soup is the one thing I will eat because they are so simmered down you can’t taste them at all (so why even put ’em in!)]

IMG_3335 (427x640)

Served with a side of Flax Oat Bran "croutons" (just toasted and cubed)

IMG_3325 (640x427)

Just packed up my in-flight lunch and snacks for tomorrow. It’s gonna be a good one! SO GLAD I have a direct flight and don’t have to mess with transfers.

Can’t wait to see BethT, Jenna + Tina!

A huge thank you goes out to my BlogHer Food Sponsors –

Nasoya

tofuii

(I’ve got lots of coupons to pass out – come find me!!)

and The Mushroom Council!  They are hosting a big party on Friday night which unfortunately I have to miss, but if you’re attending the conference, be sure to stop by for some fungi deliciousness.

Go find me at the Mushroom Channel – this was one of my favorite recipes!

Thanks so much to both foodies for making this trip possible.

Getting up early tomorrow to squeeze in a workout before my flight. I’m already past my bedtime!!

I think its so neat that you get to hang out with other food bloggers. =) I haven’t been following your blog for too long so I’m not sure if maybe you were friends with them first, or if you met them through blogging?

I should see if any bloggers in Boston have any get togethers… I gotta find a good running buddy!

How is it possible that I can actually label your soup “attractive”? Can soup really be called good-looking? Because yours really is. Uh yum.
