Fly

I had every intention of starting today with a little Dave Farmar yoga. I came down and was really ready to do it. And then Twitter got in the way. And then my stomach growled. And then I had a smoothie in my hands and yoga flew out the door faster than the Twitter bird could chirp!

IMG_3595 (640x427) (2) IMG_3606 (640x427) (2)

SIAB for TWO:

  • 1 banana
  • 1 whole furry kiwi
  • 1/2 cup frozen cherries
  • 1 cup organic skim milk
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 scoops Vega Vanilla Chai
  • 1 big handful ice
  • 1/4 cup raw rolled oats

It made two giant 2.5 bowls of smoothie which we topped with some crunchy buckwheat granola and magic shell.

IMG_3597 (640x427) (2)

A Coconut Butter magic shell demonstration. Heat the coconut butter ONCE to make it liquidy at room temp (meaning, I did this a few days ago in a pot of hot water and it’s still liquidy). Drizzle the liquid onto the freezing cold smoothie. Watch it harden.

Hard as a rock!

[Go, Matt, Go!]

IMG_3607 (640x427) (2)

Both Matt and I agree that although we both LOVE SIABs, which eat them too fast and they give us a temporary stomachache. Must remember to slooooow down next time!

RSS

I have no clue why my posts are delayed in my RSS feed. But I have noticed that a handful of other bloggers’ posts have been delayed in mine, which leads me to believe there is some kink in Google Reader and not my RSS feed (plus, if I look at the feed, my latest post is there, AND Emily said my dinner post came through fine for her). This is very annoying, but I don’t know what to do! I’m so sorry!

Up Up And Away

After showering and packing this morning, we’re headed to visit our friends Huey and Indy for the night!

And then tomorrow, Caitlin + Jason get married!!!

I try to tell Jason to slowwww down, but he acts like the food is going to dissapear off of his plate if he doesn’t eat it in 2 seconds flat…”Are you even TASTING it?!” is my response. If you use Feedburner, “ping” your post so that the feed reader robots pick it up quicker. The timing of posts showing up in a reader is pretty random, it’s just whenever the robots pick it up. It used to take my post hours to show up, not it takes about a minute. Your posts have all been showing up in my reader, no idea if they’re delayed or not.

Hi Kath! I just wanted to tell you that this morning at 6:20 a.m. when my alarm went off (after I’d already hit the snooze button once!) I *really* did not want to get up for the gym. But I used your old trick — picturing how I’d feel later today if I didn’t go, and picturing how I’d feel trying to go at 5 p.m. on a Friday when my husband and friends were all ready to do fun stuff — and I got right out of bed and went to the gym! Even in my half-asleep state, I knew it was your trick. 🙂
