Finger Lickin’ Good

“Hi Mom, I’m home!!”

“Hi honey! Dinner’s almost ready!”

Please allow me to post a photo recap only of the AMAZING dinner Saint Karen brought over for us upon coming home from work. She roasted asparagus in the oven and made brown rice and mushrooms on the stove-top, and I put some pre-marinated rosemary chicken from The Organic Butcher on the grill as soon as I walked in the door.  Chicken has not tasted this good in years!!! We also shared a bottle of white wine. It is so nice to relax in the evenings after our long days.

I hear tomorrow night’s menu features bison!

Karen has been so good to you guys as you are working hard to keep your feet steady in the busy and stressful times of opening your bakery! She is one amazing woman.

And what wonderful food she is preparing too!! I agree withHolly.. if she ever happens to be in CT.. she can come and make dinner at my house, too!

Yummy dinner – you are so lucky to have Karen close by.

About your video: 1) Virginia isn’t considered in the South – it’s the South! Richmond was the capital of the confederacy! Who debates this? 2) You TOTALLY have a southern accent. No use in trying to deny it. I live in Boston now, and there is no way you could pass for a new englander.

Looking forward to the Bison – I love it and am always looking for new ways to cook it.

Oh wow, dinner looks delicious. I love how you eat outside so often. We live in a townhome so we don’t have a place to eat outside. We’ve been looking to buy a house and we recently put in an offer on one (and are waiting in such suspense to see if it will be accepted – 3 weeks and counting – long story). If we get it I am most excited by the screened-in sun porch in the back! We’d be able to have a grill, an outdoor table, and we could eat outside!!
