Fiesta In My Mouth

Just call me a chicken because I seem to have lost my head somewhere between Main Street and the bakery!

Still whirring around from one place to the next! I cleaned the sinks in the bakery this morning (geez, construction guys, could you make a bigger mess next time!?) and swept up who knows how many piles of dirt. Matt is assembling bread racks! Photos this afternoon 🙂

At 12 I knew if I didn’t set out on my run soon I’d get too hungry – and I still had a bike ride home (which takes about 20 minutes). I stole a bite of Matt’s Fruition bar for some quick tide-me-over energy and headed out the door.

Since I also had biking + cleaning on the agenda, I just stuck to about 3 miles of running. But they were 3 miles in my favorite neighborhood so I could have done for so much longer!

Home – lunch – fiesta in my mouth!!

IMG_8569Blog

I had leftover wheatberry chili topped with half a small avocado and cilantro, plus cholula!

IMG_8562Blog

And tortillas + an orange on the side

Crunch.

Dessert.

A pretty festive Cinco de Mayo celebration if you ask me!

IMG_8556Blog

I’m about to start a GH conference call, then I’m headed back to the bakery for an interview, a meeting and some more assembly!

See you for dinner!

Hey get out of C-ville this weekend or the next and head to DC– you live pretty close! The embassies in town are having open houses this Saturday and the next and will be having performances, food and tours. All FREE! It’s an annual event for me and my girlfriends. Make sure you get there early!

    I love big cities =)

We are celebrating with local-chicken tacos and margaritas at home tonight!
I have an avocado at home nestled in my ripe bananas, hoping that he’s ready for dinner tonight! I could only get unripe ones at TJ’s on Tuesday. Hanging out with the bananas has been helping him along.

Where is the MARGARITA?!?!?! You NEED one of those, even if you are cutting back!
A ‘light’ version…. Shot of tequilla, 1/2 a shot of triple sec, shot of pineapple juice, shot of lime juice, sugar free lemon-aid mix, LOTS of ice…. oh yah, and an egg white. (the egg white makes it all sorts of frothy and delicious!) Blend and enjoy on a sunny porch! 🙂
HOLY COW! Take my word, simply wonderful or make your own just to check it out.

Are you working with an architect on your bakery? (I’m almost one, still working on my exams.) We instruct the contractors to clean up after themselves in the specifications. If s/he didn’t this time, definitely ask for it next time. It’s standard in all our projects!
