Fall Hype

It’s one of those magnificent gorgeous fall days here in Charlotte!! Blue sky, crisp air – I’m wearing a sweater!!

We started the day with a trip to the gym. Today it just felt right to go first so the rest of the day was wide open. Sometimes I have the hardest time going first, but I think it’s the cooler air. We did the usual – biked there, 35 minutes ET, some upper body lifting (machines and pull-ups today), and biked home.

I settled down to a hot bowl of oatmeal a little later –

I decided to try an Honest Foods Country Square on my oats in place of granola plank. The consistency wasn’t as flaky chewy, but it was still good. I really enjoyed the apple spice flavor to round out the fall morning.

  • 1/3 cup oats, milk, water
  • Small extra ripe banana
  • Wheatberries
  • Vanilla + salt
  • 1/2 a Country Square Bar
  • Peanut butter spoon

Mmmm mm!

Big mug of tea –

I’m doing laundry (the sheets), which always makes me feel organized. I think I’m going to head to Kohl’s and Target to look for some inexpensive pants and a mop bucket. Then I’m hoping to bake banana bread in time to have for lunch – if my trip doesn’t make me too hungry!

Happy Saturday All!

Kath, not sure if you answered this before (can’t find it now) but how long do your wheatberries last in the fridge?

I made some last weekend and wasn’t sure they would still be good.

    I LOVE fall weather!

    Have a fun day.

It got a little cooler here in south, central Texas, but we still haven’t had that first “crisp” morning that I look forward to every year.

Just the first one, mind you. After that, I’d rather it went back into the 80s.

I’m so jealous of your fall weather! Fall is my favorite season, but we probably won’t get a real taste of it until late November (in Mississippi).

Good luck with errands and banana bread today! I love Target! 🙂

I had a question about fage or greek yogurt…when you have it on the side as a part of your lunch, how much do you measure into your bowl? I usually use a half a cup which I believe is about 60 cals because I like to put honey on top. Do you think a 1/2 cup serving is filling enough as an addition to lunch? Thanks!!

Seeing Obama next to your oatmeal is kind of strange… still very delicious looking!

I wonder what kind of breakfast He had!! 😛

    Biz319,
    7-10 days.

    SmA033 ,
    EarthFare!

    Amanda ,
Knowing if a serving is filling enough depends on what else you’re eating, how hungry you are, etc. I usually have 1/2 a cup to a cup, depending on those things!
