You are here: Home / Weekend / Extra Dips!

April 18, 2011

Extra Dips!

I DID end up going to Body Pump today – because Chris, who teachers on Monday, is hard core and I knew it would be my best workout of the week.

It WAS!! I couldn’t even make it through the biceps and lunges! Chris likes to throw in some extra moves that aren’t in the usual Body Pump agenda – such a long holds, extra dips, calf raises or pulses where you might normally get a rest. Hardest class ever!

I just barely mustered up the energy to make lunch.

Ok I lied, I always have energy to make lunch!

IMG_7121Blog-2

We’ve got a thousand extra dips in our fridge, so I tried to use some up. I think we’ll probably end up throwing out some of the leftovers from Saturday’s event because I don’t think I want to keep eating from them more than a few days.

I made a giant salad that was smashingly good!

IMG_7131Blog

The Dip Mix

  • Big base of romaine
  • Bell peppers
  • Spiced pecans
  • Pimento cheese
  • Hummus
  • Sweet potato chips
  • Olive oil + Cherry Balsamic Vinegar + Lavender salt

IMG_7137Blog

On the side – a pear with the last of that Crazy Camel Pumpkin Hummus. Must figure out a way to make that from scratch!!

Bloopers!!!

Wind = moving hair and placemat!

IMG_7117Blog

I am headed to the grocery store and by the bakery. Matt has been receiving equipment all day – and will continue to do so for the next 3. Then installation begins. Madness!!

At least I know they are made of real foods and not presevatives if they start going bad!

As if Body Pump isn’t hard enough without throwing in extra moves… but I know what you mean; my favourite BP instructor is this woman who is insanely ripped. She’s really intense to the point that she kind of scares me but I always get a good workout when she teaches.

not sure how much dip you have left over, but sometimes food pantries or hospitals will take perishable/homemade donations (versus throwing it away). c-ville has a pretty extensive food bank community. just a thought!
