Easter Kitty

IMG_8699-2Blog

It was wonderful to get in bed at 9:30 last night.

But the only drawback to going to bed early is finding yourself awake at 6:30 this morning! But after 9 hours of sleep, I did not need a wink more.

Plus who can resist getting up fro breakfast!

IMG_8709-3Blog

As I went outside to photograph, the Easter Kitty came by to bring us some eggs and chocolates!

IMG_8700-2Blog

She said she was helping out the Bunny this morning.

IMG_8695Blog

While I enjoyed a bowl of yogurt with crumbled Great Harvest Blueberry Buttermilk Muffin (MMMM!), banana, chia seeds and Sunbutter…

IMG_8698-2Blog

Plus an awesome cup of French press made by Matt…

IMG_8702-2Blog

The Easter Kitty wanted entry to our home.

IMG_8704-4Blog

Very badly! Sadly, holidays do not make allergies go away, so Matt said she had to stay outside : (

IMG_8710-3Blog

So in exchange, we gave her some Special Milk just like Lillian gets

IMG_8711-3Blog

She thanked us and hopped away!

Happy Easter! About the cat though…does someone own her? If not, shouldn’t you bring her to an animal shelter so she can find a real home? 🙁

Happy Easter… Hopefully, your son won’t share Matt’s allergies. I have heard that regular exposure to pets from an early age and as a child grows up and then into adulthood minimizes allergies in life. Don’t know if it is scientifically proven, or just that families have pets because their children are not allergic.

That breakfast looks so good! I can’t remember the last time I had a good blueberry muffin! Did you ever ask the people you bought your house from if the cat hung around when they lived there? Haha I wonder if he comes with the house! So cute.

The Easter Kitty is adorable! Oh and I had a yogurt/muffin bowl for breakfast this morning too! I thought I’d seen something similar on here a while ago, so I thought of you when I was putting it together. I like that we think alike! 🙂

Getting up at 6:30 am is standard with young children on Easter (or Christmas or birthdays), so it was good prep! Worth it, though…fun times! 🙂

I only wish I could fall asleep at 9:30 and wake up at 6:30!! That would be heaven to me. I have chronic sleep issues….so frustrating, so I envy those who can sleep well. Consider yourself lucky:)

I’m guessing that the kitty comes to visit b/c you give her milk. Although they love it, it is really not that good for their tummies.

I was just about to coment on that. Older cats can’t break down the lactose in cow’s milk.

Maybe there is more to the story.. i was thinking the same as you guys.. but.. Kath do you mean something is different about the “Special Milk”, or are you giving her cows milk? If you are giving her cows milk please make sure and ask your neighbors.

Our kitties also used to get very sick when they had milk- even a small amount- so we stopped giving it to them. It’s sad because they love it, but it makes them very sick. Best to give the kitty love in the form of pets and belly rubs, rather than milk!

Since Easter Kitty has a home, I might skip on the milk. The owners litter box might be a mess as a result…. catching what I’m throwing? 🙂

Oh maaaan this is so true. In college my roommate found a kitten outside our apartment. She brought it in and gave it some milk. We put it in the bathroom while we went to knock on doors to see if someone lost a kitten. When we returned? TOTAL Poo-splosion. Poor little thing. Our bad…learned the hard way.

I believe that I am allergic to cats, too! My parents started taking care of a neighborhood cat quite some time ago, and everytime we go to their house to visit, I have a severe headache maybe a day or two after we get there. Even though they do not let the cat in the house, the dander still wreaks havoc on me. I did not even realize that I am allergic to cats until I my parents started taking care of the cat, because my parents have always had dogs, and my husband and I do not have any pets.
