Easter Egg

IMG_7417Blog

Good morning!

IMG_7453Blog

I stayed up late last night organizing my closet! And by closet I mean the Queen Room! I went through every piece of clothing and gave it a hard ponder. Tried some on. And asked myself: “Does this make me feel fabulous?” or “Is this super comfy and useful?” ; ) I hope to have all the details of this reorganization soon!

IMG_7431Blog

Breakfast was oats made with peanut flour. Yesterday Faith said she put some in her oatmeal. I always forget I have this stuff! I stirred 1/4 a cup into our two-serving pot. Unfortunately it didn’t knock my socks off. The flour gave it a dry, clumpy texture and a almost stale flavor that I did not love. Not doing that again!

IMG_7413Blog

The rest of my bowl was fabulous!

The Mix

  • 1/3 cup oats, milk, water
  • 1/2 banana
  • Pinch salt
  • 2 tbsp peanut flour
  • Crumbled crumbly granola bar (Yum!)
  • Nutty’s Butterscotch
  • Amped-up Brazil nut butter

IMG_7448Blog

IMG_7419Blog

Coffee in my beautiful floral mug. Love both the shape and colors in these new mugs.

Granted, I’m a major nerd about spoons (I always use the long stemmed iced tea spoon) but I am so loving that spoon.

Also, my favorite way to use peanut flour is to dilute it a LOT, heat it up, add some salt, sugar, and sweet curry spice, and pour it over noodles or oatmeal or pancakes or… well, anything. I think it’s kind of gross unless it’s mixed very well into a thinner sauce. Maybe this will help? At least peanut flour isn’t as expensive as some specialty “peanut butter foods”

I like to take the peanut flour and mix it up with almond milk, not so it’s the consistency of PB; much looser than that. Then I pour it over, stir it in my oats. It wouldn’t clump and thicken your oats that way. You might prefer it!

I actually love to organize my room/closet. One of the first things I did on my break from school was completely de-clutter my room – you know, all those random odds & ends from like 4th grade (50 meter hurdle ribbon, anyone?). I feel so much better with a clean space. Plus, there’s room for all my new Christmas gifts & gadgets!

Love hearing about your closet organization. I have a large bag of clothing to bring to our consignment shop, cause I was finding that I never wore them. My new rule is if it hasn’t been worn in two years, out it goes. I hate to waste clothes (so I’m much more cautious before I buy now), but I also hate to see things collect dust in the closet.
