Early Thanks

I’m thankful for a night spent with new friends and old!

We gathered at Kelsey + Eric’s house at 4PM for a pre-Thanksgiving feast. And feast it was!!!

There was punch….

IMG_9321 (427x640)

And lots O beer!

IMG_9324 (640x427)

He partook, I sipped off of his

IMG_9322 (427x640)

We played…

IMG_9326 (427x640)

They played…

IMG_9365 (640x427)

Penny seductively invited Matt upstairs

IMG_9337 (640x427)

I found them like this…

IMG_9341 (640x427)

Cheater!!

IMG_9340 (640x427)

So I went to play with Kelsey!

IMG_9335 (640x427)

And then we made up…

IMG_9334 (427x640)

I had a taste of his Belgium beer

IMG_9349

And then a splash of pumpkin home brew myself

IMG_9358 (427x640)

Cheers!

IMG_9364 (640x427)

Marshmallows went into the oven (!!!)

IMG_9344 (640x427)

IMG_9357 (640x427)

IMG_9352 (640x427)

Thanks to Annie for making them!! My FAVORITE Thanksgiving recipe that my family doesn’t care for either!

IMG_9354 (427x640)

And came out oh-so-fabulous!!!

Kelsey mashed potatoes….

IMG_9345 (427x640)

Kelsey‘s dad carved the ham…

IMG_9356 (427x640)

We sipped on homemade chicken noodle soup that was excellent! A family recipe with homemade stock!

IMG_9367 (427x640)

I had some vino…

IMG_9374 (640x427)

And dinner was served!!

IMG_9391 (640x427)

The buffet had butternut salad, green bean casserole, mac and cheese, brussels, apple sauce, ham, breads, mashed taters

IMG_9376 (640x427) IMG_9381 (640x427) IMG_9386 (640x427) IMG_9377 (640x427) IMG_9380 (640x427)

I take buffets very seriously!

IMG_9396 (427x640)

Matt and I ended up splitting a plate. I probably had more than he did though cause his stomach was full of beer!

IMG_9403 (640x427)

IMG_9401 (427x640)

IMG_9399 (640x427)

Penny looked lonely

IMG_9343

So she got some attention from Sarah!

IMG_9418 (427x640)

I had a splash more vino for dessert

IMG_9373 (640x427)

A brownie bite…

IMG_9327 - Copy (640x427)

A no-bake cookie..

IMG_9415 (640x427)

And a sliver of pumpkin pie!

IMG_9426 (640x427)

And a second worth of nibbling off of this, which went mostly untouched due to fullness and was way too tempting in front of me!!

IMG_9410 (640x427)

It was lovely to meet some of Kelsey‘s family!

IMG_9420 (640x427)

We left the party just when it was heating up..

IMG_9422 (640x427)

And the beer pong started!

IMG_9423 (427x640)

IMG_9425 (640x427)

I’m stuffed – and it’s not even Thanksgiving yet!!

But I am thankful for my best-of-friends and good times 🙂

I also love marshmallows + sweet potatoes (even though it’s probably the least healthy Thanksgiving dish). I think I’m going to start making it year round! 🙂
