Departure Day

The Breakfast Fairies were at it again. This time oatmeal for the bees, who had to leave for work at 7:30.

IMG_4641Blog

Whipped banana oats for 4 topped with muffin, mini choco chips, coconut and PB.

IMG_4645Blog

You didn’t forget about our Ocean Breeze Café muffin did you!? It was a bit eggy – in a good way. Spongy almost. We all liked it.

It’s a balmy 49* out there and Matt and I are hoping to go for a river run as soon as we digest. Then it’s off to the airport. We are going through CHARLOTTE to get to CHARLOTTESVILLE. Hoping to wave at our CLT friends from the runway! Especially baby Liam Romance! Not sure when I’ll have a lunch post up – free wifi pending!

PS. Matt just found a needle in Larbs’s haystack of a carpet!?

Muffins are probably my worst “trigger” food … as in, I have a hard time having them in the house because I can’t resist them. I can’t believe you all can resist them overnight, then divide one into fourths! 🙂

So happy you loved The Marble House! I can’t believe you were able to take that many photos! I only took one sneakily with my iPhone when we took my cousins this summer. It is the very first mansion I visited as a kid and we went year after year.

Also I wish you had gotten a macaroon at The Cookie Jar! They are heavenly little bites of chewy coconut and go perfectly with a warm cup of tea or hot water. Now that I live so far from RI we make a point to stop in at The Cookie Jar on every visit to Newport!
