Crabcakes + Peppermint

There’s always a party going on here! This afternoon/evening, Gram hosted about 40 of her friends to welcome us to Towson.

The table was set with appetizers and the bar was fully stocked

IMG_7249

Club Soda + cherries for me

IMG_7261

Gramsparty

I had tastes of everything, but didn’t have too much since we were headed to dinner afterwards

party2

Pop was there in spirit

IMG_7262

Upon my request for crabcakes, we headed to the Peppermill for dinner

IMG_7276

Rolls got us thinking about what to order

IMG_7266

And I had more club soda, but the Manhattans sitting next to me kept my nose happy with wafts of wonderful bourbon.

IMG_7267

I didn’t need to crack open the menu – I ordered what I always get!

Starter salad, which comes with the entrée

IMG_7270

And two broiled crabcakes!

IMG_7272

Plus a side of applesauce as the “vegetable”

IMG_7274

The Peppermint Peppermill is famous for its desserts, all made in house. Mom, Larbs and I shared a bread pudding and a banana crème pie. I couldn’t fit too much – these were huuuuge!

This afternoon I put my feet up in this king size bed and instantly fell asleep. I absolutely cannot wait to climb back in!!

Love applesauce – especially when it counts as a vegetable! Your dinner looks delicious, but what caught my eye most (aside from your beautiful grandmother!) was the lox, cream cheese and capers spread, YUM! Where is this restaurant?

Bleu cheese and crabcakes are basically married in mind, with divorce not listed as a viable option 🙂

Peppermill sounds like a lovely place to dine. Those crab cakes look good but, in my opinion, the desserts were the real show-stopper. Bread pudding a la mode – mmmmmm! 🙂
