Conversations

This weekend has been such a pleasure. I have had so many great conversations with so many great people.

IMG_1946

I’ve talked about the blogging business, from advertising to brand relations to the future of our industry.

I’ve chatted with so many women about pregnancy and motherhood.

And I’ve just met so many people, big [huge!] blogs and new blogs alike.

This afternoon I did no talking – just a 30 minute nap and a lot of relaxing. Totally necessary.

Then I met up in the party suite of Amie Valpone. She has not stopping hosting since the weekend began! And she will not stop feeding me these cookies!!

IMG_1925

After my cookies and milk cocktail hour, we boarded the buses to take us to the closing party tonight. Stunning venue!!

IMG_1928

I had the opportunity to continue my conversations with the three hosts of the evening

Elise @ Simply Recipes

IMG_1932

Jaden @ Steamy Kitchen

IMG_1934

And Ree @ The Pioneer Woman

IMG_1935

Three very inspiring women!

I mingled with Tina, Emily, Lacey, Monica, Heather and Gina, and finally met up with Jenna as well! Said hi to Catherine and Joy and Tracy and Jessica. It was a blogger-packed night.

IMG_1930

Food-wise, I said hello to some of each of the above

IMG_1927

Loved on that orange crunchy cheese!

IMG_1931

The evening ended with a few raffles (I did not win : ( )

IMG_1945

Before a few of us headed home for bed.

The hotel has turn-down service and I love that someone placed my eye mask right on my bed for me. A true invitation to slumber!

I love that place, so rustic…
you said “The hotel has turn-down service and I love that someone placed my eye mask right on my bed for me. A true invitation to slumber!” That would actually creep me out! I hope I don’t get those types of “service” if I go to a hotel, leave my bed made up, I will turn down the bed myself… LOL

Made me smile to see a picture of you and the Pioneer Woman. You are the first two bloggers I found a few years ago and the only blogs I read regularly! Makes me want to start a blog just so I can come to these kind of amazing events you bloggers have going on. 🙂

Start a blog… I feel the same way! Kath’s is the one blog I was reading daily, then reccently I read Black Heels to Tractor Wheels by Ree and now I’m a little obsessed with her blog (and her hunky husband). Such a sweet love story! You got to meet he (again, had you met her before, yes?) Lucky!

Hi Kath, not sure if anyone else has pointed this out, but your uncharacteristic fatigue could be do to your low iron levels? When I was pregnant with my 2nd (or 3rd?) my iron was low and I was so tired I could barely keep my head up!

Possibly, but they’re not that low and I’m sleep deprived!

You know yourself. I will say that low iron fatigue is definitely a different kind of fatigue than sleep deprivation. Hope you catch up on sleep soon!
