Cinnamon Banana Blend

Morning. I didn’t sleep very well last night 🙁 My brain was racing all night about all there is to do, and then storms and a tornado watch kept me up around 4-5.

IMG_8080Blog

But I realize the storms were much worse in other parts of the country. I hope April is almost finished.

IMG_8071Blog

I slept in late and had a phone call before I could get to breakfast, so it was late coming!

Cinnamon Banana Dough Boy Smoothie!

Read abou the Dough Boy Smoothie here!]

SIAB2Blog

Put in blender last night:

  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup Banana Mango drinkable yogurt
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • Pinch salt
  • 2 sprinkles cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup raw rolled oats

This morning:

Blend away!

This version was more liquidy than doughy – I’d cut back just a bit on the milk next time.

Toppings: Crumbled FANNEtastic Oat Puff Ball + coconut butter + a few small PB crumbles

With Numi Moroccan Mint

I was up a lot of the night Tuesday night with the weather too. I can’t believe how much damage was done, especially in Alabama. 5 phone interviews makes for a very busy morning! I hope they go very well!

Hearing about all of those storms is so scary.

I tried a dough smoothie, but I think mine needed more liquid. Something about it was too thick, so I’m going to keep adjusting the proportions.

The interviews will be great – just think, they’ll be much more nervous than you, and for a good reason. You get to make the decisions. 🙂 Good luck!

A long time reader and I am always very inspired by your posts. I actually had my first great harvest experience this weekend as I enjoyed a morning glory muffin and my husband devoured nearly half a loaf of Easter bread! Hopefully we can visit your store sometime this summer! Good luck finishing everything up!

Our weather has been crazy here too – apparently there may have been a tornado that touched down right outside of where I live but I was in my office all day (no windows) so I was completely oblivious to the fact that it was storming! Breakfast looks amazing this morning. I haven’t tried the dough boy smoothie yet but banana and cinnamon are 2 of my all time favourite ingredients!

Cinnamon and banana make my heart happy. Unfortunately, I am nursing a sore throat, so it’s a cup of broth for breakfast today. Not exactly breakfast-y, but it’s the only thing that sounded good! 🙁

I think parts of Clt were hit with the storm last night, but it passed us over down on the SE side of town. I really hope this windy weather is finishing up, too. We are looking to put our new gazebo up this weekend (the last one was destroyed by wind about 6 wks ago!). I don’t want the new one to meet the same fate, but I’m tired of living without it!

Breakfast looks great… mine is rather bland this morning for some reason. (Oatmeal with fresh local strawberries. Should be good… but it definitely needs something!).

I know I posted about interviewing people earlier this week but…I get nervous when I interview people via the phone as well! I’ve done 9 interviews in the past two days. I am no longer nervous when I interview someone in person (I’ve been interviewing and hiring seasonal staff for 5 years now) but I still get nervous when I interview someone over the phone!

The first year that I hired people, I did all of my interviews via the phone, and one of the gals I ended up hiring, totally dropped the f-bomb in her interview! I wasn’t sure if I had heard her correctly, as we were both on cell phones, and the connection was pretty bad. I took a chance, and hired her, she ended up being great. 1/2 way through our season I asked her if I had heard her correctly. She said she HAD said the F-word, and was so embarrassed and mortified, she hoped I hadn’t noticed.
