Cheers To Hops!

Foodblog-3474

Matt and I were on a special mission today – TBA in a week or so. What was in the box did not come from the bakery!

Foodblog-3472

Our afternoon was fun and then we walked back home, I put my feet up for a bit, and then we headed out again. I think I must have walked close to 6 miles today.

Foodblog-3476

Visit to Meade Park Market!

Foodblog-3477

Followed by a spontaneous dinner at Beer Run!

LOOK WHAT IS IN STOCK!

Foodblog-3478

We ended up meeting our new friends Genevieve and Lane there, who just moved to Cville from Hawaii! They are big beer drinkers so we had lots to discuss.

Foodblog-3484Foodblog-3485

I described the similarities between hops and hibiscus in my handcrafted soda : )

Foodblog-3486

For dinner Matt and I each got Evergreen salads – started out with the greens

Foodblog-3487

And shared the beer run nachos for dinner : )

Foodblog-3490

Quite the boat load of delicious! Remember this visit to Beer Run for nachos? I was newly pregnant and feeling terrible with morning sickness and faked a beer when really I got the same hibiscus soda I had above!

Foodblog-3489

I can’t decide what is more appealing – Olympics or bed!

I can see that your baby is dropping. I couldn’t see it in your earlier pictures on baby kerf but I see it in the above pic. Love the way the afternoon sun spotlights the baby bump. I’m so impressed with your energy level. You have remained active with your walking for sure. Have a relaxing night.

Wow – it just somehow seems a teensy bit too early yet for pumpkin to start showing up everywhere. Where did Summer go? I tried hibiscus iced tea in Texas – that was the first and only time I’d ever seen hibiscus on a menu before. I wonder if it’s a regional thing?
