Caption: Girl Loves Sandwich On A Milk Crate

When Matt worked at his Great Harvest, I was so very envious of the sandwiches he would come home to tell me about. Lots of smashed grilled cheeses and homemade pizzas made with GH dough.

Like his Rueben-esque giant sandwich from today:

IMG_4362

Today I got to get a little creative with the sandwiches!

I made a mini bun out of Popeye bread (spinach, herbs, peppers). Maybe the first time I have ever shaped bread to eat myself!

IMG_4367

Topped with some red pepper hummus, muenster cheese and lots of veggies

IMG_4364

IMG_4363

Heated in the 42 pan oven to a crisp!

I had a moment:

A memorable lunch

We just left work and are now relaxing here until we muster up the energy to do something fun. We’re headed back at 5:30 to close and do some business work over dinner.

We missed you again today! We saw Matt working hard but it was quite busy when we stopped by and we didn’t want to seem like groupies in the middle of all the business men ordering sandwiches. 🙂 I also had a toddler who was about a hot second away from a meltdown because I wouldn’t let her have the tinfoil shamrocks on the display case- good times! We did pick up some delicious soda bread and our weekly slice of challah for the road. Love that place! (And love seeing all the inner workings from your blog!) Have a safe trip!
