Buttered Up

IMG_2142

Good afternooooon! This day is just whizzing by – in a very productive way!

Before lunch, I had exercise company when my friend Sarah joined me for a walk! School is out for the summer! We had a long talk about technology (post on new advancements coming!) and books and the hour flew by.

Sarah brought me some of her latest creation – Cookie Dough Nutty Butter! You never know what nut butter she will invent next : ) [Edited to add: More info on how to get your hands on it in the comments – unfortunately it’s a secret recipe]

IMG_2132

Stuff is GOOD! So of course I had to have it for lunch.

IMG_2133

I made a CDNB & JATD [Jam According to Daniel : ) ] on toasted sourdough – delish!!

IMG_2137

Enjoyed a watermelon and mint salad (Sarah reminded me I need to use my mint!)

IMG_2140

IMG_2138

And amped up the protein with about 2/3 a cup of cottage cheese topped with a little coconut sprinkle.

IMG_2141

All in all, filling and gooood!

Cookie dough nut butter? Holy cow that sounds amazing… and a little dangerous.

Does she have a recipe for that?

There is a page on my blog about how to order some. The recipe is a bit of a secret, but it’s a base of three nuts (cashews, almonds, peanuts).

Sarah – I’m interested in buying but wondering if you have any (estimated) health stats. I know it’s homemade so they won’t be exact but just wondering.

Hi Kath- What brand of cottage cheese do you buy? I haven’t found one I like…it’s a texture thing with me – can’t be too ‘creamy’…Thanks!
