Break A Sweat

Boy did I miss the humidity here!! I know some people can’t stand it with a passion, but humidity makes me feel cozy and warm. I spent too many months cold to not get humidity in the summer!

I was on FIRE cleaning, unpacking, laundering, organizing and catching up this morning. I pretty much got everything done (even washing the shower curtain!) so I can have the afternoon for my doctor’s appointment and then writing.

IMG_2041

I was so sweaty and tired after my housework that I nixed the walk I had been planning. Anything that breaks a good sweat is a workout to me!

After finally cleaning myself, I dove into a 1:30pm lunch

2 scrambled eggs with cheese and jalapenos on a Whole Foods whole wheat tortilla

IMG_2042

This should have had garden greens in it but I was too hungry and lazy to go pick some!

IMG_2044

Plus all the best of summer:

IMG_2045

Watermelon and cherries

IMG_2046

2 ounces pink lemonade + lots of water

IMG_2047

Happy afternoon!

I love your lunch, so colurful and it looks so delicious yet simple! I culdn’t get used to the humidity when I moved to NY, I literally couldn’t breath, like there was not enough oxygen for me, now I am better, but I still prefer weather that is dry and hot!

I had watermelon for lunch too. Along with my No B, LT sandwich. But I need some help! Since I still haven’t had a soda since Lent (yay me), I am drinking even more sweet tea now. Any suggestions about how to replace that soda/caffine/sweet fix? Anyone? Bueller?

I went to Wyoming one summer, and when I was headed back people were asking me what I missed most about home, and first thing that came to mind..”I miss the humidity!” Needless to say I got some confused looks. Cozy and warm is right on the money. Love my Maryland heat 🙂 Glad you’re home safe!

I can’t stand the humidity either. I grew up in Florida and most days in the summer you just step outside your door and instantly sweat, even in the shade.

This is the perfect time of year for you. 🙂

I LOVE humidity and hot weather too! I crave it! But of course, I grew up in South Louisiana, so hot & sticky was the norm. Now that I live in Charlotte, I’m often too cold, even in the summer. (And especially in the winter.) Cold weather, now, that is MISERABLE. I don’t know how anyone can stand it!
My ac stays on 77 during the summer. Anything lower….and I’m shivering!

I kind of have a love/hate relationship with the humidity. It’s got to reach a certain temp for me to really hate it. I definitely love the heat, and don’t mind breaking a sweat- I’ve just got to feel “comfortable” (and drink lots of water!)

Most of the places I’ve lived in my life have been humid (Panama, Florida, Texas), and I don’t love it but I can stand it. I don’t really like running in humidity, but I’m pretty used to it at this point. I’d much rather it be hot and humid then cold and dry, because I absolutely hate the cold. I have no tolerance for it.

I echo your sentiment re. humidity…bring it on!! It’s way too early in the season to complain re. muggy weather after months of the cold, snowy stuff. I just love open-window tropical-island like living as it puts me in a state of serenity. Despite growing up in the midwest, I thrive – mentally and physically in warm/hot weather.

BTW, I have you to blame/credit for my humpday excitement, Kath. (SYTYCD – new episode tomorrow night…whee!)
