Boots n Things

We are supposed to get a big snow storm this weekend. I was wondering when the winter blast would hit, and apparently it’s time! Luckily someone loves wearing his new fleece hat and gloves! Also just bought him some new Lands End snow boots just in time!

Foodblog (1 of 1)-7 this !

Speaking of boots, we display our matching Hunter rainboots by our door for easy access like this:

And I was reading a home magazine this month and saw this photo!!

And my new Toms boots? LOVE!

Despite the cold, we’re eating lots of smoothies this month! I’ve been into the Vega Coconut Almond mix for a really delicious flavor. It’s the only protein powder I’ll use.

We had some Mona Lisa Pasta ravioli filled with blue cheese and figs this week. Served with edamame, cauliflower (veggie of the month!), and a butter-white wine sauce.

Lastly, we had some friends over for dinner along with their two kids. Pizza and salad for all!

Stay warm!!

That pasta looks tasty, was the wine and butter sauce homemade? Sounds delish!

Those boots (all of them!) are adorbs! I can’t believe you had the exact same setup as the magazine, ha! You’re a lifestyle juror for sure! Also, FYI, after reading your post I’m getting Facebook ads about, you guessed it… Boots!! How do they DO that!?!

I keep our Hunter boots displayed by the door as well. My husband always complains and I’m like, “it’s totally a thing!!!” And then I saw Joanna Gains do it on Fixer Upper and I said, “See???? You can’t tell me you don’t think JoJo knows what she is doing!” And he was appropriately put in his place.

I’ve been toying with the idea of adding a protein powder to my diet for years. Care to expand upon why you think Vega the best? I saw the Vega protein and greens at Costco, but I was concerned about sweetness when I saw Stevia on the ingredients list. Any recommendations on when, how often and how much to drink as part of a healthy diet?

I like that it’s entirely plant based, and I think it’s delicious. I still think it’s best to get your protein from real foods, but I like adding it for the flavor and boost of nutrients.
